You don't trade your franchise player for a slightly above average center who has already peaked.

My gut tells me you're wrong. Very wrong.

I posted this somewhere else, but with both the draft class and free agent class being stacked in good SFs, we should seriously consider Green for Asik. Keep Rondo.

Why would Houston want Green? They already have Parsons who is better.

Green would be a great stretch 4 next to Howard.

the trade for Asik that makes sense imo is with the Bucks for Ersan Ilyasova. Something like Asik and Motiejunas for Ersan and Gary Neal. The Bucks have a ton of PFs and no real center other than Pachulia, and Ersan is a PF who can stretch the floor for Howard.

Green is no more a 4 than Parsons is. They need a bit more of a legit 4 like Ersan.

Then you have a gut feeling that Ainge is a moron... That trade's highway robbery for the Rockets

You guys act like all we would be getting is Asik.  We would be getting Lin who has a 19.5 Efficiency rating according to ESPN and Beverly who has an 11.8!!  Someone mentioned NO outside shooting, but Lin is shooting 44.4% from long range!!  That is pretty good!!

The only real thing that's better about Parsons than Green is his contract, to the point that he's becoming a bit overrated.

I dont think it happens like you describe. Asik will not command that big of a price. He is not a top ten big man in the NBA and definitely not a max contract talent like Rondo soon could be. He is worth mid level talent like Bass and Lee maybe at most.

I dont see Danny trading Rondo at all unless Rondo requests it.

Detroit has much more attractive young big men that are a better fit.

Also why do we keep Bogans on the 2014 roster?

Parsons also doesn't disappear for long stretches only to show a flash of potential for one game and then disappear again. I'm sure Morey has noticed this.

Possibly, I haven't caught as many Rockets games as I would've liked to so far this year. Honestly, it's hard to watch a team that gets a large portion of their points from trips to the free throw line.

Asik can't shoot

Yup, and that's my biggest issue with Asik.

That's why I'd rather get Monroe.
monroe is good , but too similar to sully. We need a defensive anchor at center. If Rondo is getting dealt it would be for drummond or no deal .

My only concern would be what if other teams start playing hack-a-Drummond.

That's ok, Shaq succeeded anyway, and so would Drummond if you put the right players around him.
