Secondly, all this talk about him not being able to co-exist....his teams with Iverson were some of the best offensive teams in the league, no?

As an aside, the fact that he got the Nuggets to the playoffs in the West while LBJ's Cavs couldn't cut it in the east basically means he got robbed a ROY award.

Pierce was still a more willing passer and more complete player.

I'm not saying Melo is a bad player, I'm just saying I don't want him on my team making 20+ million dollars a year.  No way.

The real thing tho is that this is pointless conversation.  He is staying in New York and I am happy.

I just don't buy the "Melo isn't a winner" label.

The one time Melo was surrounded by proper complementary players and a real NBA coach, he gave the eventual champion Lakers their toughest fight in the WCF.

Put Melo on a team with Rondo and a solid defensive big, and I definitely think you could win with Melo.  I don't know whether or not Boston would be able to put the necessary pieces around Melo and Rondo, however.

Sounds like an interesting prospect. How about we somehow get a hold of Melo without losing either Rondo or Green? Draft, or sign a decent defensive big, and roll with that.
