I just wanted to start a thread about Avery Bradley.  He's been getting a lot of beef around here due primarily to the fact that he has been forced to play as a lead guard to start the season, a position that he is ill equipped to play.  His offensive numbers so far for the season look pretty woeful.

I love the way the kid plays, though.  I will go as far as to say that until Rondo returns, he may be the most valuable player to the success of this team right now.  We seem to be building an identity as a scrappy, defensive minded team, and Avery is the leader of that identity.  One thing that is a given is that Avery Bradley is always going to play hard defensively and he's always going to make hustle plays.  I think his attitude can't help but rub off on the rest of the team.  In that way, he is picking up on the legacy left by KG.  His play and his intensity makes it embarrassing to not give full effort defensively when you are on the floor.

If we are going to stay competitive this year, Avery Bradley will be a big reason why, regardless of his individual numbers.

He hustles hard and plays hard but he's just not a starting pg or sg. He's a 6th man on a team filled with 6th men. His flaws stand out and rightfully so. I'm one of his biggest critics due to his overhype by some celtic fans in the past  but I have to disagree. I think the play of our bigs will determine the teams success as far as winning goes.

He's the biggest reason why we're a top 10 defensive team.

He's also one of the biggest reasons why we're a bottom 3 offensive team.  But at least that's correctable.

Remarkable player.

It's pretty crazy to see how much more comfortable he looks with Crawford handeling the PG duties.

I think Brad finally gave up on the "maybe he can be a PG...".

I agree though, Avery has been getting too much flack around here.  He's basically been playing out of position since last years all-star break.

Pretty much.

And just looks way better with a ball handler in alongside him.
