DA should be fired this season. I don't think he is making the right decisions from a fan perspective.
As a fan, you should have something to look up to every season. But right now, i am getting tired of watching this celtics team after only 2 games!
We have a coach that cannot even adjust/react to current game situations! We have a pure point guard in pressey but is being benched! we have a shooting guard that i think is much better that crawford - offensive talent wise (since i dont think both can play defense)
We might have to go with the nets this season, or after DA has been fired and replaced!
Looking at the pistons game today, I don't think anyone is interested of watching road games for the celtics! Look how few fans are out there watching. Is that what you call celtics tradition DA??????

over react much? perhaps you didnt get to read threads here for the past few months, but this team is officially rebuilding/roster tanking. it does and will stink for the next few years.

this is part of being a fan, your team sometimes rebuilds and is less than fun to watch. some teams never get very good. others, such as the celtics, manage to become elite teams for a while. then age catches up with them and the rebuild again.

p.s. if you think pressey is somehow going to add 20 wins to this team, i would enjoy listening to how that will happen. and for what it is worth, pressey had a good college career as a defender.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Hmmmm…same topic with exact prediction (now close to the reality) I have opened when DA traded PP+KG+Terry for NETS junk + hiring an inexperienced kid for a NBA coaching position...Now the results are evident. Firing DA was necessary after he made these big big mistakes. Now is too late, and this season is done. Strange how ownership can not see and evaluate this horrible the situation...Will be strange to to find in this forum people to defend DA …

we will be lucky to win 15 the way it looks right now. rondo would have to pull a rabbit out of his hat for us to win 25. I want to see the youngsters develop like sully, faverani and Kelly
LET'S GO CELTICS!

The original poster might just be PJ Carlesimo trying to get the fan-base against Stevens in an attempt to get the C's coaching job. If so, well played PJ ...TP!

It's called rebuilding.  I thought you had created a new account solely for the purpose of recreating this type of thread, but I guess that makes two of you now.

These "fire ainge" posts are always out of touch.  League-wide, the consensus is that the package Ainge got for KG/Pierce was a complete heist.  We traded our best players for future considerations.  We effectively tanked this season for a better future and it was the correct move to make.  This team is being built through the draft.  The idea is to bottom out this season, get a prime building block in the draft, collect lots of assets and eventually put together a competent team.  It's a 5 year plan.  Stevens is signed on for a 6 year deal.  This is Year 1.  Ownership is aware of what Ainge is doing.  Losing is part of the plan.  Ainge knows what he's doing.

I feel like I just slowed down to watch a car wreck, and it was much, much worse than I thought possible.

Nope definitely "form" the top. Ainge is an amazing gm. 4 teams have won an NBA championship in the last 6 years. Only 6 teams in the last 14 years. Ainge allowed us to get one of those championships.

Counting from top.

The Lee amd Terry signing last year was great. During that point Lee is known as a pitbull defender and a good shoorer while Jet is a off the bench star. Its not Danny's fault that they stunk. We got a lot of assets for our best but old players. He traded Perkins for Green, and as passive as Green is, that is looking like a win move. And who knowd what could have happened If we had Krstic in the lineup playing Center along side KG.

The Stevens pickup remaibs to be seen. But the consensus is a suprising but good hire for Ainge.

We got a pick for a coach for pete's sake. Drafyed Olynyk who is slowly getting the hang of the NBA game (he was good against Detroit) and the Faverani pick ip is looking like a steal.

What part of that is a bad GM?

Yup.. The OP has exactly one post, the original post of this thread. So apparently this person created an account just to start this thread.  This person has probably not read anything ele on this board and I don't see this person responding to anything in his own thread. "fire Ainge" threads come and go whenever the team does poorly. Expect it.

Ainge and the Celtics made a choice on the direction of the team and they went all in.

That was my biggest issue in the past, trying to straddle the fence of going for it and being good in the future.  It hurt the chance to do either well.
