DA should be fired this season. I don't think he is making the right decisions from a fan perspective.
As a fan, you should have something to look up to every season. But right now, i am getting tired of watching this celtics team after only 2 games!
We have a coach that cannot even adjust/react to current game situations! We have a pure point guard in pressey but is being benched! we have a shooting guard that i think is much better that crawford - offensive talent wise (since i dont think both can play defense)
We might have to go with the nets this season, or after DA has been fired and replaced!
Looking at the pistons game today, I don't think anyone is interested of watching road games for the celtics! Look how few fans are out there watching. Is that what you call celtics tradition DA??????

Ainge is awesome.  He tanked this season intentionally, but long-term it's going to be a beautiful thing.  I don't plan on having any babies, but if I did... I'd name my first born Ainge.

At the very least, I should buy a gerbil or something.  It's the least I can do in support of our superstar GM.

The idea is to tank to get a good draft pick in the upcoming draft.

Through 2 and a half games, Danny's plan is crazily effective.

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

If the job of the GM truly were to ensure that the team is entertaining every season, then yes, I would agree with you.  Danny would deserve to be fired.

Fortunately, that's not his job.  His job is to put this team in the best position to compete for championships, and that is what he has done.

This is board is descending into madness.

This is just the beginning.  It's gonna get much, much worse than this.  I'm actually kinda looking forward to it since there'll be little to appreciate about the team.

I'd name my first born Ainge.

Well, we know who to blame when we hear twenty years from now about a guy who killed his father for giving him a name that led to everyone calling him Angie.

This is board is descending into madness.

I like how one of the criteria by which we should apparently judge a GM is by how well a team draws on the road.

FYI - a title contender like the Pacers finished 20th and 25th in road attendance the last 2 years.  The Spurs haven't finished in the top 10 in the last 3 years.  And with one official road game completed so far, the Celtics are actually outdrawing everybody but the Knicks and Nets on the road!

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I'm more baffled by how anyone needed to see these first few games to realize that we took a conscious step back this summer.

LOL the sky is falling

It was no win either way. PP and KG we not going to take us anywhere.   We had to rebuild, we won't be able to judge it until after all those picks.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Danny is a very good GM.

We are losing because we are not that good. We're not good because we gave up our good players, Danny did.

And those good players turned into assets we can use for the future.

LarBrd33 is right, we are not playing for this season, we are playing for the future. And Danny has set us up for that. That makes him a good GM, possibly great if this plan (albeit VERY hard to watch) works out.

(Don't get me wrong folks, like LarBrd, I accepted that Danny tanked the season, but unlike him, I'm not rooting and cheering for loses, just putting it out there)

SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Hopefully we dont win a game the rest of the season so we can all but be guaranteed a top 3 pick.
