This is board is descending into madness.

Not surprised that you are feeling happy now...Very probable statement...Indeed

Google translate?

I'm not happy.  I'm realistic.

No noooo noooo…There is no need to translate you...I was sure 100% what you gone tell us...Is very very probable behaviour to defend DA… ;D

I have enjoyed this exchange... that is all I will say as I bow out.

Very probable answer, including a childish TP... ;D

Ainge and the Celtics made a choice on the direction of the team and they went all in.

That was my biggest issue in the past, trying to straddle the fence of going for it and being good in the future.  It hurt the chance to do either well.

Ainge made a stupid choice and there you have the situation. This DA team cannot beat now Raptors or Bucks… It’s horrible. Can you imagine that Lakers can trade best top 3 players: Koby, Gasol and Nash for Kardashian and Wallace? DA behaviour is not behaviour of a GM who is managing a great team like Boston Cs are. Boston is not Golden State or Toronto

I don't get it. Ainge listened to the fan base and gave all of you what you wanted. You never wanted the Celtics of the past. The people here wanted a young team built on potential that played hard. Win or lose. The most popular Celtics team the last 15 years won 20 games with Big Al G-Money Bassy etc...It seems like people are having buyers remorse. Oh well

Many of us have been saying this team was going to be a disaster since last year.

Tanking for Wiggins is exactly what we're doing. We're awful, we're going to be awful.

  • No no no, not THAT "Eric M Van".
I got quite the kick out of the back and forths in this thread. All of our base!!, excellent!!

Anyways, my list of random thoughts

1) Having gone through the Hank Finkel/Hambone Williams Era & the Sidney Wicks/Curtis Rowe era & the post big 3 era (Now THAT was a fun 15 or 16 years!) It's not quite as painful for me to watch this stuff as it might be for a Johnny Come Lately. I love the celts always have always will so these trials & tribulations are just part of the roller coaster of being a fan.
The sun still comes up (so far) even after a frustrating loss

2) As pointed out numerous times, this is EXACTLY what we should have expected and any real assessment of any team or season shouldn't really begin until 1/3 of the way through. Dark days in November can be forgotten as a team jells (or doesn't) throughout the season.

3) I can't tell if Stevens is a good coach in a bad situation or a bad coach with bad players or whatever right now. I heavily lean to these guys just suck donkey right now. It's the island of mis-fit toys.

4)I don't watch the record as much as individual performances at this point.  I'm enjoying the rookies. Fav is fun, Olynyk is fun, I hope Pressey will be fun. Bradley & Green, not surprisingly have been just what their careers have shown us over the years. Crawford has been wonderfully un-crawford-like on occasion.  Bradley's not a PG. Green is a 3rd or 4rth wheel that goes flat from time to time. The New Jersey guys seem to be showing why they ended up not putting in a lot of time last year or are substandard (I assume Hump & Brooks are lousy in practice.) Wallace is fun from a looney tunes perspective.

5) We can reset the whole thing when and if Rondo comes back and start the evaluation all over again.

So, be a fan. Try not to hang yourself. The nice thing is (from a forum perspective) is that the population will weedle down to people that are really interested and the reactionary crowd will jump on the Bruins bandwagon, or the Lobsters or the Pats or Jersey Shore or something else and leave,
"Because there are no fours."

Danny is tanking, and the big trade has put us in a good position for the future. The Nets later picks should be quite valuable, so I am content watching us suck.

LOL the sky is falling

It was no win either way. PP and KG we not going to take us anywhere.   We had to rebuild, we won't be able to judge it until after all those picks.

Exactly.

DA should be fired this season. I don't think he is making the right decisions from a fan perspective.
As a fan, you should have something to look up to every season. But right now, i am getting tired of watching this celtics team after only 2 games!
We have a coach that cannot even adjust/react to current game situations! We have a pure point guard in pressey but is being benched! we have a shooting guard that i think is much better that crawford - offensive talent wise (since i dont think both can play defense)
We might have to go with the nets this season, or after DA has been fired and replaced!
Looking at the pistons game today, I don't think anyone is interested of watching road games for the celtics! Look how few fans are out there watching. Is that what you call celtics tradition DA??????
Hmmmm…same topic with exact prediction (now close to the reality) I have opened when DA traded PP+KG+Terry for NETS junk + hiring an inexperienced kid for a NBA coaching position...Now the results are evident. Firing DA was necessary after he made these big big mistakes. Now is too late, and this season is done. Strange how ownership can not see and evaluate this horrible the situation...Will be strange to to find in this forum people to defend DA …

It's called rebuilding.  I thought you had created a new account solely for the purpose of recreating this type of thread, but I guess that makes two of you now.
Yup.. The OP has exactly one post, the original post of this thread. So apparently this person created an account just to start this thread.  This person has probably not read anything ele on this board and I don't see this person responding to anything in his own thread. "fire Ainge" threads come and go whenever the team does poorly. Expect it.

I have not created another account - FYI!
My question to you is: Why do the Spurs have been considered a contender even after the late 90's till now? Have they had this rebuilding thingy? do you know how old manu and duncan is? why have the spurs have not let them go and trade for future assets? Got my point?

okay, now I KNOW you're trolling.

the Spurs tanked to get Duncan in the first place.
