But he doesnt take plays off like Green. Green is also a much inconsistent player than Gay is. We don't know what we will get with Jeff, but with Rudy, at worst will give you 15 points, efficient or not. And he will try to score compare to Green, who, just in the last game alone took some rest on the floor.

A player who gives you at least 15 inefficient points every night would be a bad player.

I think that Rudy Gay's game is uniquely suited for being statistically dismissed--he's very good at shooting mid-range shots, he doesn't get to the line a whole lot, and he doesn't shoot many three's.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Every night, that's true. But Rudy isn't inefficient every night. He shot 50% last night.

I'd rather have that kind of inconsistency. At least he's trying to score every night. Rather have that than having a little better efficient Jeff Green who one night is the most aggressive player in the NBA but the next he's just standing in the corner for 15 out of the 36 minutes he'll play.

And Rudy is clutch. I don't know if I said that enough already. We probably won the Bucks game if we had Rudy and gave him the ball. He makes it or misses, at least he WANTS it. I didn't see that from Green, and i hope I'm wrong but I may never see it.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'd chase Terrence Ross or Demar Derozan from the Raptors.

Rudy Gay is overpriced and no one else is worth much more.

No thanks on Nelson.

The Toronto Raptors are exploring trade options with Rudy Gay.

Ross is young enough to maybe have upside as a guy to back up Bradley.  I want no part of DeRozan or his contract.

I don't think Toronto has a clue what they are trying to do.  Most of their players are freshly signed and acquired.  Why would they sign guys they don't want?  Makes no sense.

They got a new GM, Masai Ujiri, in June.  He's hard at work clearing out the mistakes of the previous regime, who created a go-nowhere roster that needed to be blown up.  He got a sucker to take Bargnani.  Now, he's presumably looking to unload the bad contracts given to Rudy Gay, DeMar DeRozan, and Landry Fields.
