#Celtics forward Brandon Bass: Don't think we should point fingers at each other ... (that said) hope everybody got the message.

Bass said he heard about Wallace and Green's comments second-hand. Suggested the frustration wasn't discussed in locker room.

Bass: "Hopefully we just stick together, because we don't have no room to have groups and cliques of people feeling a certain kind of way."

Wallace on coaches: "They're trying to tell me to relax and ease up, but the main thing is, I want the guys to compete."

Stevens said he was comfortable with Green/Wallace speaking out, team had one of the season's best practices today.

Quote
Boston Celtics ‏@celtics 1h
Brad Stevens on today's practice: "I thought it was, if not our best practice, definitely in our top two or three."

Gerald Wallace's comments about #Celtics lack of effort struck a chord, team had one of their best practices to date this afternoon.

This kinda contradicts what Bass said:

"One of the things I appreciate is we all discuss that in the locker room," Stevens said when asked about Wallace's comments and similar ones from Jeff Green. "Those guys have been in the league, and whatever those guys see, I’m comfortable with them saying that. I think the biggest key is to make sure we’re all together and moving forward.

So is Brad saying they did discuss it in the locker room?

Hmm..this is going to be interesting.

Bass should keep his comments to himself. I love the fact that Wallace is trying to ignite the team. And did the coaches really tell him to "ease up"? Lame!

It'll be fun if Wallace single-handedly wills this team into over-achieving.  It'll be doubly enjoyable because of the daily tears from the pro-tanking crowd.

That's what's interesting in one quote Brad is saying he's comfortable with Wallace making those comments and then Wallace is saying they want him to ease up. I think it's a mixture of both or maybe the coach doesn't want Wallace making those statements to the media.

I really think the media has found themselves a go to person in Wallace for quotes. He doesn't mind sharing at all.

Pretty much the same thing saying they can't use preseason as excuse.

I have almost never been critical of Green, but let me be the first to say, he has NO business talking about anyone else's lack of effort! He has sleepwalked through this pre-season.

If I were in that locker room, my only frustration so far would be that the head coach has no idea what lineup to trot out every night. And that good performance doesn't seem to be rewarded with playing time (and vice versa).

Except he's the biggest one that should share the blame and in fact probably who Wallace was talking about lol

Welcome to rebuilding, folks.

I'd rather just pick something that seems to make sense and go with it for 15 games.

I'd agree with you but there's no consistency, Crawford prob bad example but looked mature and decent the first couple of games then looks like his old self and a complete train wreck. Bass horrible the first couple games and last game had a solid game. This team is too up and down and mostly looks a bunch of bench guys out there just playing pick up.

It doesn't matter. As a coach you have to show decisiveness and set roles and a clear gameplan or else all hell breaks loose.

Also, it has to be a plan that works. You can't stubbornly run a system that results in Jared Sullinger jacking three pointers. Unless, of course, you think this is a good shot to take with regularity, in which case the situation is quite hopeless.

Yes, that's probably one if the first signs that led players to lose trust in their coach, that and starting Bradley at point guard while rarely using Pressy
