Scott Souza @scott_souza 1h#Celtics forward Brandon Bass: Don't think we should point fingers at each other ... (that said) hope everybody got the message.
Jay King @ByJayKing 1hBass said he heard about Wallace and Green's comments second-hand. Suggested the frustration wasn't discussed in locker room.
Jay King @ByJayKing 15mBass: "Hopefully we just stick together, because we don't have no room to have groups and cliques of people feeling a certain kind of way."
Jay King @ByJayKing 41mWallace on coaches: "They're trying to tell me to relax and ease up, but the main thing is, I want the guys to compete."
Jay King @ByJayKing 1hStevens said he was comfortable with Green/Wallace speaking out, team had one of the season's best practices today.
Boston Celtics @celtics 1hBrad Stevens on today's practice: "I thought it was, if not our best practice, definitely in our top two or three."
A. Sherrod Blakely @SherrodbCSN 24mGerald Wallace's comments about #Celtics lack of effort struck a chord, team had one of their best practices to date this afternoon.
"One of the things I appreciate is we all discuss that in the locker room," Stevens said when asked about Wallace's comments and similar ones from Jeff Green. "Those guys have been in the league, and whatever those guys see, I’m comfortable with them saying that. I think the biggest key is to make sure we’re all together and moving forward.
Bass should keep his comments to himself. I love the fact that Wallace is trying to ignite the team. And did the coaches really tell him to "ease up"? Lame!
what were Green's comments?
I have almost never been critical of Green, but let me be the first to say, he has NO business talking about anyone else's lack of effort! He has sleepwalked through this pre-season.

If I were in that locker room, my only frustration so far would be that the head coach has no idea what lineup to trot out every night. And that good performance doesn't seem to be rewarded with playing time (and vice versa).

Bass horrible the first couple games and last game had a solid game. This team is too up and down and mostly looks a bunch of bench guys out there just playing pick up.

As a coach you have to show decisiveness and set roles and a clear gameplan or else all hell breaks loose.

As a coach you have to show decisiveness and set roles and a clear gameplan or else all hell breaks loose. Also, it has to be a plan that works. You can't stubbornly run a system that results in Jared Sullinger jacking three pointers. Unless, of course, you think this is a good shot to take with regularity, in which case the situation is quite hopeless.
