Rondo is actually a top tier all-star, borderline superstar when the playoffs come around. If you look at his position adjusted win score, two years ago, the only player who had a higher number out of all 16 teams was Lebron. There are two different Rondos: regular season rondo and playoff rondo. They are two different animals.
Sully is a borderline all star. I've gone into this before so I won't rehash, but he is david west reincarnated. May make two all-star teams.
Kelly Olynyk will have a career average of a PER of 16ish. His best season he may teeter around 18, but he is basically a good starter.
Jeff Green is too hard to predict and has the greatest potential to get traded as filler. He is completely up and down. On average he is a supremely athletic, apathetic, role player. At his best he is a high level starter. Trade this guy.
Avery is a role player. His per and position adjusted win score both back this up. But he is a defensive animal.
Courtney is an average starter.
Jordan Crawford, I think Danny sees him as Nate Robinson reincarnate. He will probably get traded soon. This is backed up by Danny saying that Shavlik Randolph had the greatest potential to be kept out of all the last season acquisitions last season. Ironically shav's gone, but I still think Danny quote is relevant.
Faverani could be a starter like Luke Longley if you guys remember him from the Jordan bulls.
Gerald Wallace is Gerald Wallace. He had a down year last year, but in a run and gun offense like Steven is implementing, his numbers will go back up and he'll be a high level starter. He's a keeper.
Marshon brooks is as effective as Jordan Crawford, but is as wingman, and seems to be a lot more level headed personality wise. It's hard to say whether he or Courtney will stay. It, hard to say anyone will stay this year, but I think Faverani and pressey will stay because their contracts are so good. He can also play small forward if Green gets traded. He's a swingman.
Pressey will evolve into a starter. No more. His contract is unbelievably good. Danny learnt from Steimsma to lock up these guys with potential to be starter for more than one season in order to give the team flexibility. Faverani and pressey are testaments to this.
Bass is gone. No other way to put it. There's going to be at least one trade this year, if not more. Danny compresses the roster as often as possible, giving the team not necessarily the deepest depth, but the few best players he can find. If he could he'd be okay with a roster of five players, as long as they were really good players. Eg: the KG trade aftermath.
Bogans is a lovely expiring contract.
Humphries is a starter, who two years ago was one of the best rebounders in the league. And he was in a contract year. Expect him to have a really good season this year and transform into a high level starter - history repeats itself here. He is also a lovely expiring contract. He just had a bad year lays year, at least that's the way it looked. Statistically though, according to win score per 40 he had a year on par with sullys. Check it out at draft express if you don't believe me.
