As expected
- Lack of Athleticism
- Don't ask them to block shots
- Bad rebounding performance by Olynyk

The pluses
- High BBIQ. Do all the non stat things well like setting picks, boxing out, PNR, spacing on the court etc.
- Both know how to play. Directing and communicating with others.
- Both are superb passing big guys
- For a good part of the game when both were playing at the same time, the team was on the plus side

The concern/challenges
- Scoring. Olynyk is good but needs time to figure out how to score against nba calibre players.  Sullinger has to minimize getting blocked from underneath the basket
- Sullinger is a great rebounder but can't do it all by himself. Olynyk has to figure out a way to rebound better. Adding strength can't come sooner

Even with the concern/challenges, like i thought, its the best upfront duo the team has.  Anyone else still rather have Hump/Bass duo starting or playing majority of the min??  These guys are bench players at best

Like it a lot... My favorite lineup tonight, call me crazy, was Olynyk, Sully, Wallace, Bradley, Crawford. Replace Rondo with Crawford and I like that lineups defense and fast break offense potential.

I like them, too, but I'm surprised there's not more love for Hump, who I thought played really well out there tonight.

I'm already loving tha Sully/Olynyk combination. That's gonna be one hell of a duo. They're great passers for their size and I see a lot of trickery in tha future between those two and Rondo.

Really liked their play. A reason Olynyk won't put up the numbers some predict is because he has such a high basketball iq and is willing to make the extra pass. I think a lineup of Rondo, AB, Green/Wallace, Olynyk, and Sully will be one of the smartest and most athletic groups out there. I can't wait.

They both had some fouling issues, KO is just getting his feet wet, and Sully is out of shape.

So it was perfect to play them together but not start them. I think it's only a matter of time before they become the starters and the question is when.

Keeping the pressure off of KO and showcasing the vets is probably a good way to go early. The question after one game is whether Wallace is going to force himself into the starting lineup with Sully and Olynyk when they get promoted.

A lot of KO fouls were fouling guys who got by the perimeter.   Both are virtually rooks and has zero respect from the refs.  Hansborough has a million fouls in that game and rarely got called.

The combo is strong the old low post/high post thing works well with these two.

They could make a very nice duo to split time at PF if the Celtics could get a good C to start next to them.

I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of Sully playing "center" this year.  Both he and KO need minutes, but it's pretty clear that Gerald Wallace is one of the team's best players - he needs to be on the floor a lot, a lot.  Jeff Green will be playing a lot because of his contract.  One of those guys will be nominally the small forward, the other the big forward - but whichever one is considered the 4 will be getting 30-35 minutes a game.

KO's game is more that of a PF, so he's going to be playing there.

That pretty much leaves our potential "centers" as Hump, Bass, and Sully (and maybe the Brazilian kid; had to tell yet if he can play or not).  Sully clearly belongs in the rotation, but the minutes that are there seem to mostly be at the 5 spot.

I really liked what I saw from Kelly and Sully. Especially when you consider that Sully is working back from surgery and Kelly was in his first real NBA action.

They obviously are both high IQ players who have very well rounded offensive games (kelly didn't show it yesterday but its there).

Their downfall is and will always be length on defense. They both have to try to take charges rather than contesting shots. This will work for now but if they are going to grow together and have long term success as celtics the roster will have to compliment them. They will need a lengthy defensive big to join them in a 3 big rotation.

Sullinger will break all sorts of records for having his inside shots stuffed this season.

Is that the only thing you care about?? He was the best player of the game for the celts

He looked more mobile also which is a relief.

Sully has got to be dannys biggest steal of the draft yet
