With pick 4.4, the Mile High City Nuggets selects.

Wilson Chandler

Can score, can defend, can run in transition, very underrated.

Interesting that he is listed at SG on ESPN.com, I think I like him as a very big SG.
They list him at SG? Weird, he was SF/PF for the Nuggets.

The problem with Bogut is that big men with multiple injury problems tend to break down harder and faster than guards or wings.  It might not be fair to bigs who buck the trend, but people tend to expect the worst because of what they've seen happen to other big men.

I'd look for historical examples of big guys who got hurt and were able to stay relatively healthy afterward.  Remember this exercise basically boils down to a popularity contest; think about how you can make starting Bogut more popular.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I think Bogut is the first of a bunch of players that might be selected this round that have mid 2nd round or higher talent if healthy but never seem to be healthy. If Bogut is healthy, and he appeared to be making strides towards that end at the end of last year, its a great pick. Problem is come voting time, all one will here is "Bogut is made of glass" and you have to overcome that. Yoki seemed to do okay with Bogut on his DKC team. In this exercise, we will see how well Bogut get received.

Just look up IPs arguments from two years ago Yoki.
3 years wasn't it?

Basically look at 2010. Andrew Bogut was an elite franchise level player in 2010.

I'm good with Bogut.

The only thing I'm asking here is consistency. If we're going to attack Bogut's injury history HARD, then we attack the others who had the same if not had worse injury histories than him.

It seems that Bogut is the only one who's not getting the "glass half full" treatment here when it comes to injured prone players, and that has to change.

Then you ought to convince people. Saying its not fair isn't gonna make any stroke their beard thoughtfully and say, "Well shucks, I guess I have been judging Andrew Bogut unfairly." You've gotta come up with compelling evidence (or, in lieu of that, compelling argument) that this year will be different than 5 of the last 6 years in which injuries have derailed Andrew Bogut's season.

Its not easy, but look up stuff, look for interviews, get a good bench. It can be done, probably.

How about what he did in his 44 games last season? That's on an 80% ankle. He protected the paint, which is good at and what he was brought in the Bay to do.

Let's not act like he just got injured again and will miss some more time leading to next year. He's already fine on the most intense games in the season, and held his own perfectly while also dominating on the boards.

I like this pick. The guy can score, no doubt. Completely forgot about him.

I like chandler but he's another guy with some fairly significant injury history. If he had a spot free health record, he would of been gone much earlier.

Regarding the Bogut pick. If healthy, Bogut is a gamechanger. Even though he was injured in the playoffs last year, his presence in the paint alone disrupted a lot of drives for the opposing team.

IKR.

6'8" 225 Shooting Guard (46% FG, 41% 3PT)

I think he's one of those guys who can play both wing position. I never believed he belong at PF but the Nuggets insisted that small ball would be the way to go.

It worked, until Bogut killed them.

I see both sides on bougut. Definitely when healthy he is one of the better 5s in the league. On the flip side he does tend to get hurt often. Gonna be a tough sell.

4th round BG. Got him in the 4th round. I think that's tremendous value for a guy who has star quality talent.

Chandler can play 3 separate positions and is a great offensive player. Solid pick.

Or just remind IP that he didn't need interviews, positive rumors, or a deep bench to vote for Greg Oden attempting his SECOND comeback. Games within games.

Yeah wasn't trying to knock the pick, like I said, he would of gone earlier had his health been perfect. Good value at this point.
