With the 1st pick of the 4th round, the Minnesota Timberwolves select...

DeAndre Jordan

President/GM McHP Quote: "We are happy to add DeAndre Jordan to our squad. Much deliberation took place regarding this pick, but given the numerous teams with quality front lines we felt it was essential to protect the paint defensively. DeAndre is one of the most athletic - if not the most - big men in the NBA today. He can run the floor, crash the glass at both ends, score off putbacks and alley-oops at extremely high percentages, and provide excellent rim protection. His free-throw shooting has been often scrutinized, but we are confident that our coaching staff can help him return to his form from 2011-12 when he shot a more acceptable 52.5%. In summation, we feel he brings a positive impact to the team both offensively and defensively. Welcome to the team DeAndre."

A 4th round pick for a guy that is not trusted to play in the 4th quarter?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
With 4.2, the Mile High City Nuggets select, and Yoki welcomes back the leader of the My Boys club to his side.

Andrew Bogut

We need a rim protector, and not only is he one, he's a very vocal defensive anchor, which helps Monroe's lack of defensive awareness.

And he's healthy, this aint last year, when I proved you guys wrong.

Didn't he miss a large portion of last year?

Gay is a very very good player and I like him so there!  ;D

Seriously though. Memphis was pretty good with him and Zbo together last year and were right at the top of the league and in contender status.  After the trade they took a step back but were very fortunate when Westbrook hurt his knee. Gay gave them a dimension no one else on the roster could.

Assuming I stand pat. Jr and lee come off the pine. With five picks in rounds 6-8 I hopefully can round out my top ten guys, and this league is deeeeep at guard, but I have a feeling this team is far from a finished product in regards to its core and its still very early in the process.

Stay tuned.

He played a total of 44 games last year including playoffs, only 1109 minutes total.

Memphis has been better when one of those two were not there.  They just don't help each other.

And there was a difference.  They went from losing to the Clippers in the playoffs to beating the Clippers in the playoffs.

Because he's trying to heal the ankle. He was sent back early and had a setback.

He came back out of shape and slow and then picked it up and averaged 12 rebounds, 2 blocks in the Playoffs, the most important games of the year.

We're not talking about a guy who got injured heading into the next year. He's healthy and ready to play this year, completely different scenario.

Haters gonna hate, everyone can use the "injury card" all they want an I'll just show the Playoffs performance. This is a great pick. A top 10 Center in the 4th round? Sign me up.
