  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Lots of good names available. Let me know if you want to trade up to 3(18).
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Any thoughts on Alvinson HorfnetTy? [forcing it]

Lawson can run a playoff offense, and having an inside presence like Horford as well as an outside presence like Garnett could work out nicely. Not to mention the two big guys more than make up for Lawson's vertical challenges.
I really liked the Lawson pick(he was the best PG available) and the fit is very good. A balanced scoring attack is an extremely good thing. Even if some may say you need to have a dominant scorer, I don't necessarily buy that philosophy. You just need to have a scorer that can be dominant when the time comes when you need a score in the most important of games. I think all three of your guys fit that mold.

You may just be speaking generally, but this is what i said:

I like it --- good quality guys who I think fit together.

The biggest problem I think is a lack of scoring punch. All 3 *can* score, but none are really dominant.

I agree with others' posts that scoring balance is underrated -- and you have that.

FWIW, I don't think KG can get that crunch time shot as much as he used to be able to (he get's blocked quite a bit more... though a Lawson drive + kick to KG for a 14 footer is near automatic...)

Aw nuts. It's August, so is this one of the months where Faried is underrated, or overrated? Personally, I like him a lot.

With the 11th pick in the third round the San Antonio Spurs select:

Danny Granger

You have learned nothing.

Thought he'd be there in the 4th. Could be a steal. His knee deterioration hasn't been talked about enough. They still don't know if he'll be ready for camp and he missed almost all last year. Rumors are out there his career could be done. At 32 he's on the downside but he's still talented. Indiana might win a title if he was healthy last year.

Hopefully he comes back. For the record he was under consideration for 3.24.

Link to those "rumors," son?

I can't speak to his long term health. I'm just looking at Danny this year. If it wasn't clear by my nursing the clock, I would've been far more comfortable with putting the pick off. That said, I love his versatility, shooting. Defensively the Spurs wings should be very difficult to deal with.

Also he's 30 years old. April 20, 1983. Games within games, Kane.

Lol it's honestly not like that.

There was talk about Indiana trying to shop him and getting absolutely nothing back in return. I have seen beat reporters tweets about Granger being in a Brandon Roy type situation. This is something I read while doing research on him and it made me think he just might not ever be the same guy again. Career being over might have been strong but Roy came back last year and was nothing like before.

Quote
The problem with trading Granger is his gimpy knee. Sources close to that situation say Granger has had a knee issue his entire career and it’s gotten progressively worse over the years. The fear is that he may not be able to be counted on because of that knee and that makes trading for him risky.

There are reports that he could come back for camp, but now those are "optimistic."

You are right. He is 30, but he does still turn 31 before the playoffs...

Again I was thinking about him with 3.24 and 4.2 so I am not hating on the pick at all. He's a steal if he can go, but it's definitely a risk.

My bad if you thought I was being overly critical. That's really not my style.

TP.

I'm sad that you snuck off with my Binky Kenneth Faried at the last moment, but I'm excited to be able to add Manu Ginobili this late in the draft, who is an excellent compliment to Westbrook and Leonard.

By the way, foulweatherfan, I'm really psyched for you that you took Omer Asik this deep. You can basically count on having a great defense no matter what you do... that's not something anyone else is going to be able to pull of with just one pick for the rest of the draft.
