The 76ers select Derrick Favors not sure what court has higher upside than Cousins and Favors.

Davis and Drummond? It's close.

Lots of talent. Lots of questions, too. But lots of talent. Extremely athletic up front.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Davis and Drummond for sure.  Favors, for all his hype, has pretty pedestrian numbers, even on a per-minute basis.  He's just not a guy I see developing into a star.

I like Cousins a lot, but I do think it does him a disservice to put him next to another young guy.  Cousins needs somebody to take him under his wing.

Definitley a ton of upside, but you just have to hope they can put it together. Both guys have been talked about as people that can be the best at their positions but their shortcomings are how they were both able to fall to you.

Am I the only one that doesn't get the love affair many have with Kanter and Favors? And this isn't picking on the picks, I have said this elsewhere on the blog.

But 3 and 4 years later, Utah is still banking on their potential to produce, not on their actual production. Yeah, they have proven to be good role players off the bench but that doesn't necessarily translate to being the same in a starting role and being one of the top players on a team.

Yes, they are young but at this point, I don't see that they are ready to explode upon the NBA and be top 60 players in this league. Not by a longshot, IMHO.

I was really impressed with Enes Kanter last year. A much improved jump-shot to go along with a good low post game. Looks like he can score 15+ppg in starters minutes without much trouble and get close to double digit rebounds. Defense still needs work but he has good mobility and quickness along with physical strength/heft so I think he can become an able defender. I'd expect Kanter to be a top 20 center next season and believe he is capable of becoming a top 10 center further down the road.

I was disappointed with Favors lack of development last year. It looked like things were coming together for him towards the end of the previous season and I was expecting to see him take a step forward offensively. Show more of a jump-shot and scoring ability. Didn't happen. Worried about the improvement there. Has stagnated.

I also wonder if Favors might be better off as a center than a PF. Hasn't been able to develop his offensive skill to a high enough level to be a quality starting PF (nevermind star player). He might be able to do more damage as an undersized C with his quickness than with his size/strength at PF.

Yeah I guess I forgot about those two, they certainly have higher upside. However, no way Drummond and Davis produce better than Cousins and Favors this year.

I was shocked to see Kanter go ahead of Favors. I expect Favors to put up 15/10/2 in a starter role next season. Cousins will be a 20/10 guy, you won't find much better production in the 4/5 spots. More importantly both are skilled and can score in the post, freeing up Curry for open 3's
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Equating Kanter and Favors is a disservice to Kanter I think. Favors has two years of stagnation at roughly the same level of play.

Kanter improved nicely from his first to second season.

Their numbers are pretty comparable. Favors has the edge in rebounding, Kanter has the edge offensively.

I don't think Favors is all that skilled offensively though, especially if you play him at PF.
