Are you basically asking who our #2 scorer should be?

I'm hoping it's Rondo.  I'd love to see him assertive in terms of scoring.

I think Rondo could be our leading scorer, at least by the end of the year. I would expect him to understand that the team needs his offense more than ever.

And, he probably won't feel as obligated to give the ball up when his options are Humphries and Green instead of KG and Pierce.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 17ppg in the second half of the season. Unfortunately that might be enough to lead the team.

Is there any way to re-word the question so it's a bit smoother (like Roy stated)?

I think it is obviously Rondo and I also think it is very possible, maybe even probable, that he is even the leading scorer.

Btw, love the way 'Marshoon' Brooks sounds :0)

I think Gerald Wallace is going to be given a chance to be "the guy" on the team like he was back in his glory days in Charlotte.  This will be primarily intended to increase is trade value but no matter.  I predict his numbers will be plumped up.

Few things holding Rondo back from being a leading scorer.

-coming back from injury. Will more than likely compensate/tone down aggressivness
-historically doesn't get to free throw line often (and not great ft percentage)
-doesn't shoot or make 3's often, coupled with minimal free throws does not bode well for high scoring
-playmaking mentality. I can't see Rondo taking 20 or so shots a game. Just doesn't seem part of his make up.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Celtics have 6-7 guys averaging double digit scoring per game and only Green having more having more than 15ppg.

I've got my fingers crossed that if Green is struggling Rondo will be leading the way.

Rondo, if fully healthy and in shape.

If he isn't, we are a horrible team and anybody can put up points on a horrible team.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sullinger leads us in scoring.  If you keep feeding him, he can keep scoring.

Its hard to answer because obviously it depends on matchups.  This is how I'd answer it in a roundabout way.

I'd look for Rondo to run pick and rolls for a good portion of the offense.  Whether that means him scoring or finding an open shot for someone else, why does it matter.

Then I'd figure Green is the major wing scorer on non pick and roll plays.  He can drive and get his own shot and knock down threes.

During stretches when Green and Rondo aren't there I'd think Sully will get to work a lot out to the 15ft area on the wing down to the block.  I think he can force some double teams against poor defensive 4s and we can run the offense through him.

After that, I hope Olynyk gets a chance to do what Sully does, maybe from the right side while Sully is on the left.  They seem to fit really well as a duo because they seem to prefer opposite blocks.

After that, you know Brooks if he is on the team will put up shots and so will Crawford, I just hope they aren't playing a lot.

the better question is "who is going to stretch the defense?" because you normally need at least 2 three point shooters in a pro offense and the Celtics have none. Sullinger, Oylnyk, Green can all score if give room and Rondo can drive and dish and Bradley can also drive. The problem is that you are going to see 4 defensive guys in the paint and one on the ball. Sullinger is going to feel like he is in a crowded elevator. In fact they may call it the "elevator defense". Of course Brooks and Crawford would be happy to throw up 3s but they don't do it all that well. Celtics better score in transition because the half court is going to be highly questionable and the offense the Stevens used in college takes too much time with only 24 second clock.
