Trust me - I am a life long UNC fan, you don't want McAdoo.  One of the most overrated players to come into Chapel Hill in a long time.  The only time he really produced was when he was playing with Henson, Barnes, Zeller and Marshall....Who wouldn't have success with that group?  He can't shoot, pass or dribble.  He does play good defense.  If the Nets finish in the 20's, a guy the C's could look at is PJ Hairston. He will be a good pro.  Unlimited range, very competitive and a good athlete.  Any other year, he would be a late lottery pick...

One guy who I never see discussed here but offers a non redundant skill set for us is Montrezl Harrill. Only 6'8 but posseses elite athleticism that our front court lacks.

Raw player but was an integral part of Louisville's title run.

I wouldn't compare him to Curry, but he would absolutely be on the top of my list.  I was very impressed with him the other night, and I love Michigan State guards.  I think Izzo always seems to produce tough guards who maximize their talent.  And Harris has a lot more talent than most MSU guards that have come out recently.

With the dearth of real SGs in the NBA, he could be a real steal if he stays in the mid first round.

Poythress is another guy I would love later in the draft.  Not sure if he is a position of need, but I feel confident he is going to be a good NBA player, and is worth a shot.

Doug McDermott is another SF, but he is a lights out shooter, which is something this team needs much more of.

One player who is not mentioned much, if at all, anywhere this year is Caris Levert of Michigan.  He's a sophomore who could have an Oladipo-type breakout year.  He's 6'6", and mostly plays the 2 but runs the point occasionally.  Last year he didn't play much, but by tournament time had worked his way into the rotation as a defensive stopper, as he can very ably keep point guards in front of him and smother them with his size.  This year through two games he's showing he can be a scorer.  Through two games he's put up 20.5 ppg, on 59% shooting, and 7/10 from three.  He also has 5 assists against 1 turnover.  Admittedly this has been against bad competition, but reports from training camp said he was ready to take a huge leap, and so far he's shown that.

He's not been mentioned as likely entering the draft this year (not very highly recruited, and didn't play much last year given the talent Michigan had ahead of him at the guard positions), but he's someone to keep an eye on as the year progresses.  He's young for a sophomore (only one month older than Selden and three months older than Randle, for instance), and if he continues to play like he has, he'd be available in the second half of the first round.  More than likely he's someone to watch for 2015, but in case he comes out this year, you heard it here first!

Curry and harris do share lots of similarities though. Both are lights our shooters for one and can make the transition 3.

Harris is already better driving to the net and defender.

At this rate not feeling good he will be there from 10-15 area.

Harris and gordon i hope we can get from the 2014 draft. Mcgary would also be nice to go along with sully and oly

One player I've warmed up to recently is Rodney Hood of Duke.  Could be a very solid wing in the NBA.  Still like Doug McDermott alot, and other than Randle on Kentucky I actually like the Aaron Harrison twin.  Has an NBA body, and maybe a sleeper at SG.  I'm not sold on James Young at Kentucky, and Wayne Seldon has been dissapointing.   Lavine of UCLA might get into the top 10 but I like him too.

Dario Saric stands out to me.  Passed on coming last year, and will ultimately be in this year.

Ainge scouted Adetokunbo and passed for Olynyk.

He scouted Gigi Datome and still hasn't added him.

He's been to Croatia to see Dario and I think he's an Ainge type draft pick.  His strength is his feel for the game (unlike Giannis) and Ainge seems to like those big men who can handle and shoot (thus creating matchup issues down the road).

Last year, many expected Ainge to take Saric if available.  As we know, Ainge rarely does the expected.  Who knows.

Trade the picks.  I keep hearing the draft is top heavy.  6-9 guys who could be franchise players and then a crap shoot.

Good news is that although our picks are projected #15 and #20 right now... we're basically tied with Chicago who has the 9th best odds.

if we get the 15th and 19th pick

At 15 I'd take:
1. Mario Hezonja
2. Andrew Harrison
3. Wayne Selden

At 19 Id get:
1. Montrezl Harrell
2. Mitch Mcgary
3. Adrian Payne

For a pick around 20, which is where I could see the Brooklyn/Atlanta pick being guys I like are Wayne Sheldon, Mitch McGary, Perry Ellis, and maybe, Alex Poythress u less it looks like he could fall to the 2nd round. Really think Poythtess' game will translate to the NBA.

At around 10, which is where I expect the Celtics pick to be I like Dario Saric or Doug McDermott or whoever falls hard out of the top 7 players(1 player always seems to slip) of Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Embiid, Exxum, Smart and Gordon.

Garry Harris or James Young could go 10-15 and I think could become legit stars in the NBA. Harris just seems like he should be wearing Celtic green when I watch him play.  Cauley-Stein will probably go around 10 and would be a really good defensive anchor, but limited on offense (think Omer Asik with more potential and on a rookie contract). I like Selden or Saric with the Hawks' pick as sure to be good role players in the NBA. Payne, McGary and Ellis are good, but the Celtics are pretty set at the power forward spot. I also wouldn't mind tking a flyer on either Harrison with the Hawks' pick. They were highly recruited out of high school. Andrew Harrison has a whole lot of untapped potential and Aaron Harrison could be the 3 point shooter the Celts so desperately need.

I would stay clear of the Harrison twins. They have proven to be nothing more than ball hogs with a bad shot that picked on less talented high school players to put up big numbers. Thus far in college they have been terrible. I am not sure either should even come out at this point.
