I like the youngin....We needed a "true" backup PG.  Hope he's ready to learn from one of the best!

What better guy to teach a Rondo-like player to be a better player than Rondo? I like the signing and hope he sticks.

Well for one thing i like his game. Has great vision from what i see in that video, and from what i saw in the summer league is relentless on defense. Another thing Jabari Brown is a pretty good catch and shoot guy. Hit a lot of tough 3's in that game goodness.

I was thinking...this is the first time Rondo has the chance to be a mentor to a true PG.  I think it will make him an overall better player. Even though it was said last year that this was now Rondo's team, I don't think he truly felt it with the vets around. Now he has the chance to really be a leader and having someone younger than him at his position to mentor I think will prove wonders for us in the long run. I really hope we don't trade him. It will be a mistake if we do!

Good for him. I hope he can do what he did in summer league in the regular season. I would be a great story to go from undrafted to making it in the league.

Like his game alot. The turn overs were painful at times, but I think a lot of those were just trying too hard, and playing to fast. Slow it down, do what he dose best and he should have a good career.

This guy was like a Rondo who could score in college, and if he's ready for the NBA it could be a scary one-two punch from our point guards. Great signing, Danny.

Rondo and Pressey have similar scoring numbers I think? Except Rondo was much more efficient.

That's exactly what I meant ... Rondo could score in college.

Are you saying that Pressey was a good scorer in college?  In his senior season, he shot 37.6 from the field, 32.4 percent from three and averaged 11.9 points on 11.0 shots a game.  In his junior season, he shot 42.8 percent, 36.5 percent from three and averaged 10.3 points on 7.7 shots.  He was far from a capable scorer in college.  His offense projects to be bad in the NBA.

Most worrisome about his college stats are his low 2-point shooting percentages.  They were 41, 47 and 41 percent.  It's hard to get established if you're such a bad scorer within the arc.  Rondo shot 55 and 54 percent on 2s at Kentucky.

Instead of Pressey, I wished they had taken a chance with BJ Young.  Maybe they did and he just decided to play for Houston's summer league team instead.  Before Young struggled with his long-range shooting last season, he was looked at as a possible lottery choice before the season.  He shot 55 and 53 percent within the arc.  His physical gifts are far superior to Pressey's and his skill level is very high.  Despite his assist numbers, I think he has point guard level vision.  He looked really good in Orlando and just landed a contract with Houston.

I like the signing. The kid has promise.

That said, if Pressey is the next big thing and KO is either the next Dirk or Larry Bird, then shouldn't the Celtics be contending for the title this year?

I might be crazy, but right now this guy is a 10th-12th guy off the bench. He could develop into a nice backup point guard. Beyond that, I don't think I will go too crazy yet.

Is there a rule that every Pressey post has that vid? I think I have seen it no less than 6 different posts.

So who is gone? We needed a back-up PG and now we can trim a
