People ,I need to clarify something about Faverani. The theory that he was a bad rebounder and that he was not a starter because he played only 17 minutes is wrong. In Europe teams can have 10 or more foreign players, but they can use 3 at the same time. That is the reason why he played 17 minutes,in his team Valencia 14 players played 12 minutes or more per game.About the rebounds the leading rebounder in the Spanish league was 6.2 rebounds per game. The system is very controlled an teams usually shoot after 20 seconds and the time of games is 40 minutes not 48 like in the NBA.
Thanks for the insight.
Seconded!
Is the low minutes per game / high number of players per game consistent across the entire Spanish League? If so, then 17 mpg wouldn't be bad, nor would his other numbers, except turnovers which *are* high. It does appear that Faverani started for his team, so there *is* that.
Frankly, I have no idea what to really expect from Faverani in the NBA. I'll be shocked if he's really good, but stranger things have happened, and I'd be very happy to be shocked. We'll just have to wait to see how he does when he starts playing here.
