  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I personally don't hate Kris. I thought as a player he does hustle, and rebounds hard. He is like a healthier Reggie Evans who at least has some what offensive upside.

I didn't like the fight between him and Rondo. I definitely think there has to be some slight modifications, in order for the two to really resolve any lingering issues. I think Rondo isn't much of a forgiving person, especially since Humphries hurt someone very close to him. Rondo is a very tempered person when it comes to protecting his precious things.

I didn't actually get to watch the entire press conference, but what did you guys expect?

1)Humphries knows, you know, I know, every one including their grandmothers knows that any trade for him is imminent and going to happen eventually. Did you want him to be a go happy guy? He knows his future here isn't guaranteed, and he knows just as well that revelation alone will isolate him from most players. Even if he gets close to any of the players on the team, and even becomes a great locker room presence. I know DA will have no qualms shipping him out as part of a package. As long as he does his job, and tries to support the team. I will respect him more. I didn't watch the reality show, and couldn't care or dabble in that sort of mockery.

I do understand that he is on the contract. And if he'd like to see some MPG, that he at least try to put forth any effort.

2) Brooks seemed the most animated. Especially considering the fact he may get more playing time, and he probably talked to Stevens before the conference. I enjoyed his enthusiasm, because it means that any playing time he gets will encourage him to really shine. I think Brooks can score, and I think under the right system, taught especially by Stevens. His defense, and his passing will increase over time.

3) Bogans like everyone said was very professional. He is a decent career 3 pt shooting player. A great locker room presence, and seemed interested, (although his tone didn't say much,) to be a big part of a locker room leadership, most likely going to be shared between Rondo, Green, Wallace, Sully, and him. Bogans has always been known as a good presence in the locker room, and a great teammate. While he isn't anything special in terms of stats, Bogans reminds me a lot of Keyon Dooling. Nothing special about his skill set or talent, but a great motivator in young prospects mind sets.

Bass is the most logical trade guy right, because he's useful to a lot of teams, not massively overpaid, and he's unnecessary in a rebuild.  They're going to give KO a lot of minutes, Sully's still a big part of the future, and Gerald Wallace is going to play more (and I think better) than I believe people expect.  Bass seems like fourth-string right now, so trade him while you can.

I think Bass is and should be ahead of Kris Humphries on the depth chart and I think he will get some minutes at center that some people don't expect him to, if he is on the roster.  I don't think Wallace is going to be playing much PF.

I'll bet you eight dollars and thirty-nine cents that Gerald Wallace plays more PF minutes for the C's than Bass plays at the 5.

do what Phil Jackson did with the Bulls when he made Dennis Rodman apologize to Socttie Pippon

Make Mr. Kardashian apologize to Rondo and move on

The Rondo-Humphries stuff is nothing. The KG-Perk stuff was truly personal, but they moved on. The Rondo-Humphries stuff wasn't at all personal. It was physical pay and heat of the moment.

I suspect Rondo likes having a guy who will bang on his team.

Bogans on tanking:

Quote

#Celtics Keith Bogans: I'm coming here to win. If I get the vibe that's not everybody else's attitude here, I'm gonna have an attitude.

Love him already! This is how I feel and I think the greatest organization to do it, should feel this way! If you lose it better not be for lack of effort, teams that do tank make me sick! I know they Celtics did so under Doc but hopefully Stevens doesn't go back to that! I actually think its impossible to INTENTIONALLY tank with Stevens, he looks like he puts in too much work to go out there without his best effort and most of our players have that same attitude! It seems like DA went to good lengths to start picking up workman like players, good talents but guys that work their butts off! I can't think of one guy on our team who doesn't go hard in the gym and on the court! I know some will say RR but there is a difference between stepping your game up during the playoffs and being lazy during the regular season! The BEST players always step it up in the playoffs! RR plays better than most during the regular season, he just also has that extra thing in the playoffs that only the best of the best have! How many times do you see players excel in the regular season but choke in the playoffs, RR is not that guy!

We are going to play hard, regardless of the outcome!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I guess that'll work.

Note to everyone about me adding onto Marshon Brook's enthusiasm, guy wore green socks and a green tie. He definitely wanted to be here. Must've hated D-Will or PJ a lot lol.

I don't think it'll be that big of a deal either, especially since he's a teammate (for now). The main reason they got into that "scuffle" was because before the game the Net's were calling the C's soft and saying it loud enough for them to hear. So it could have been anyone on that team.

What exactly happened between KG and Perk before KG got traded to Boston?
Fill me in.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Give me a break with this booing B.S. on Humphries, or calling him Kardashian, etc.

If he's giving you a double double this year nobody is booing anybody.  He's going to be a perfect trade chip at the deadline & we need him to produce like he did 2 years ago.

You don't know the man, don't label him as a jerk or this and that.  My word.

I believe that most people here commenting on him, including myself, are speaking on his actions and body language during this presser which appeared to be that he didn't want to be there and has no interest in being a Celtic. I will speak for myself when I say that's MY observation and I have a right to say whatever I please about what I feel about him.  I could care less who he was married to or what he did anywhere else. He's putting on the Green and white right now, so either he represents or he gets talked about just like anyone else would!

That's spot on to what I observed at the presser. It seems like Marshon truly and honestly wants to wear the Celtic jersey. Keith sounds like he's ready to get to work (plus he's payed pretty well),and Kris sounded BLAH.

In defense of Kris (you guys are making me defend Kris Humphries, really?) he was TRADED here. He probably has never had and currently has no interest in being a Celtic.  I know we're all passionate fans and can't imagine someone not wanting to be here, but there are players who don't want to be here. This is a situation he was thrown into, not one he signed in for. As long as he's respectful of his teammates and brings it on the court, I can live with him being less than enthusiastic.

With that said, I do expect him to come out and play hard since it's a contract year for him.

I'll bet you eight dollars and thirty-nine cents that Gerald Wallace plays more PF minutes for the C's than Bass plays at the 5.
I'll bet you that Wallace is not going to risk another concussion, and Jeff Green will mop up all the minutes at PF if needed.

If Gerald Wallace is worried about another concussion, I'm sure Danny would be more than happy to talk to his agent about some kind of injury settlement.

I don't see how playing the 4 is significantly more dangerous, concussion-wide, than playing the 3.  You're playing inside a little more, with a few more bodies around, but half the big men in the league play on the perimeter anyway and you're expected to drive into traffic more as a SF.  Playing as a SF/off-guard sure didn't protect Quis in the least.

If Wallace is truly worried about another concussion (and I don't blame him in the least for worrying), he shouldn't be playing at all.  It's nonsensical to me that he's be too worried to play PF but OK playing the 3.

You're banging with someone who is 30-40 lbs heavier, and 3-4 inches taller. Not only is it more likely to absorb a harder hit, but also it's more likely to get hit in the head by a flailing limb because of the height difference.

In any case, Wallace himself has said that his days banging with bigger guys are over, so this point is moot.
