Moving long-term salary for expiring contracts generally means sending out assets like young players or picks to compensate the other team.

I'm thinking, instead of dishing out Wallace, we should take in long term contracts of the same length as Wallace for Humphries and Bogans. Get more picks out of that.

With the cap hold, whatever splash we make will be limited. Plus, the FA market is pretty barren in the near future.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Hasheem Thabeet, if OKC cuts him (which I think they will because of Steven Adams).

I don't know, I just have this feeling that Brad Stevens can turn this bust of a #2 pick into a very servicable defensive Center.

This is just me. I'm basing it off of the fact that his Centers from Butler played very well against tight competition (Matt Howard, Andrew Smith), maybe he can turn Thabeet around with analytics or something. I still like the fact that he's 7'3" with long arms, he can protect the rim.

Yes, I am very much hoping for this. I think Thabeet would make a serviceable starting center for Boston next year for around 20 minutes a night.

I don't think OKC are going to waive Thabeet though. Steven Adams looks too far away. So, I think they keep Thabeet and waive Daniel Orton instead.
