No. He would be a nice piece, a supporting role player, on a contender. We'd have to give up too much for him.

Not necessarily. If you can deal for Asik and rid yourself of Bass and Lee, you set yourself up for immense cap space in 2015.

Also, Asik is a better player than Bass and Lee.

People here are definitely underrating Asik.

I think that could work for both teams. Lee to shoot 3s and space floor for Dwight, and Bass to play outside and hit mid-range shots. I don't know if Houston would. He'd also probably average a double double with Rondo.
Yeah, Bass and Lee worked so well with Dwight that Orlando got rid of both of them quite unceremoniously -- in Bass' case, pretty much at Dwight's request :)

exactly, yet some fans want to ignore the obvious and think we can dump off our trash for a good player

we dont need a slow as molasses, soft, non-athletic, back up center with a bad contract

we need an athletic center.

If the non-athletic center is nevertheless a better rebounder and shot-blocker than the athletic center, do you still prefer the more athletic guy?

If he's so slow, soft and non-athletic, how did he finish 3rd in Rebounding last year?!?!?!?
Why would we want a center who averages a double-double?
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Well,

Can we can offer Bradley and a first round draft pick for him?

Bradley will fit Housston's system quite fine.

1.  When did Asik become slow, soft and nonathletic?  He is literally one of the toughest guys, he's very athletic and probably one of the fastest in his position.

2.  Brandon Bass is a very good basketball player.  He's one of the best one on one defensive forwards in the league.  He's also one of the best mid range shooters in the league.  He's also a great free throw shooter unlike Asik.  I don't think the Celtics are trying to trade Bass nearly as much as some people around here.
