I just don't see how he fits on this team, so unfortunately I would say I do want him traded.
Get something of value for him and get even worse, we could probably package Wallace with him if we aren't going to get someone with all-star potential back.
I'd hold out for a lottery pick, but I can't see why a terrible team would want Rondo. Fringe playoff teams acquiring him would probably make the playoffs with him.
Maybe NO would want him? For Gordon? Something big like Rondo, Bradley, Bass and one of our future firsts for Gordon, Vasquez, Lopez?
He fits perfectly on this team. He's a major asset and he won't help us win any games for half the season. I can't think of anybody better to be honest. When we get some major prospect and Rondo is healthy in 2015 throwing lobs to them, you're going to be ecstatic.
No he doesn't fit great with our current situation (imo) nor is he that great an asset (also imo). If he was such a great asset teams would be knocking down our door right now with offers better than 40 cents on the dollar. He was always worth much more to us than any other team.
We know what Rondo's max is. He can only be worse with a weaker supporting cast. He isn't going to become a knockdown shooter now that KG and Pierce are gone. He's not gonna be aggressive or hit threes/free throws at respectable clips.
I much prefer guys like Sully and Green on this team.
