Word is, Aldridge wants to escape from Portland's rebuilding project and has made it known that he'd like to land in Chicago.

Deng for Aldridge won't get it done. The Blazers want Joakim Noah in return and the Bulls don't want to give up the superior defensive big man.

Here's one way to get Portland's attention: Offer Deng and Charlotte's future No. 1 pick. The Bulls are counting on that Bobcats' pick (acquired for Thomas, ironically), to pay off big, because it's unprotected in 2016.

Man Danny need to get on this if true

Send anyone away but Rondo for him

Please go hard after him Danny , collect as many assets that you can for PP and KG ,then flip those picks plus Jeff Green,Sully and Bradley .

I even give up a 2014 pick for Aldridge

DO IT DANNY!

Now that's interesting.

http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2012/10/trail_blazers_building_blocks_lamarcus_aldridge_th.html

I can't imagine he thinks his team now is worse that the one at the time of the article.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
We are rebuilding; we don't need an elite big man to take us up to the 4th-8th seed only to be knocked out by the Heat/Bulls/Pacers.
I like Marcus Smart

Aldridge pretty much give you everything you want from a PF. Better Chris Bosh imo

Who cares about 37 year old KG with bone spurs, this old dude with his bone spurs played excellent defense, grabbed 13.7 rebounds, 50% FG scoring 12.7 points without a PG in the playoffs.

I'll take it.

You make it sounds as if KG was pure trash who can't contribute anything worth mentioning.

LaMarcus Aldridge has wanted out of Portland since the last week of the Trail Blazers' season and did not resign sponsorship deals in Portland this past year, including agreements with Cadillac, Chevy, and Providence Hospital while asking to get out of a lease on his Pearl District condo.

Aldridge tried to put a clause into his lease that he will not have to pay penalties if he was traded.

“This is why I hate being in Portland,’’ Aldridge said during the last week of the season. “You can’t do anything.’’

According to the report, Aldridge would not only welcome a trade from the Blazers, but he hopes for one, believing the city is too boring and small.

Neil Olshey said he sympathized with the constant change Aldridge has gone through with the Blazers, but the GM was adamant he would not be shopping the All-Star forward.

“Well, I’ll tell you this: I’m not going to be making any phone calls to move him,’’ Olshey said. “But if the phone rings and it makes the team better ...’’

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I think I called this one or two seasons ago.

In order most wanted.

1. LaMarcus Aldridge - The best big that no one is talking about. He'll give you an efficient  20/8 with good defense. He's in his prime and Portland looks like they are rebuilding. I think he might follow the trend and ask for a trade soon

Well would you look at that...

He requested a trade a little later than I expected, but I still knew this was coming. Unless we're going for one more run with PP and KG getting Aldridge doesn't make sense. He wants to go to an immediate contender(the Bulls) and we're on the verge of rebuilding. Danny should've been bugging the Blazer's gm about this during the season.

Some people have their heart set on the team sucking for a while. Go figure.

Yeah we'd be locked in for years of second and 3rd round exits :P. Seriously though he'd get us to the play-offs, but we'd still need a piece or two before we could really compete with the big dogs. Definitely a very good start to a rebuild, getting him to buy in would be the problem though.

Im hoping he stays a Blazer till next offseason. Then after a spending the next year loading up with assets the Cs need to make a hard push for Aldridge. I have said before that if the Cs can get a 2014 lottery pick, either Sully and Lee or AB and Bass, the clip 2015, and another future first they should be able to push for Aldridge or Love. Even if AB and Sully are sent out its well worth it. A core of Rondo, Aldridge and Green is a great base.
