If we were gonna take a big man, I would have preferred this Dieng kid from Senegal than Olynyk. Looks like he can defend at least.

Hahaha, love David Stern milking the crowd "We had to explain to our international audience that in America the boo is a sign of respect."  I think he'll miss this night most of all.

Both lame and phoney. He has become a caricature of himself.

Let's buy the 26th from MN. They already have two picks so sources saying they are looking to move the 26th.

I'm not thrilled with Olynyk, but he was the most efficient player in college last year and according to scouting reports the most offensively polished big man. Dude can score down low. It's been a while since the C's had a guy who could score efficiently down low. Might not be the greatest defensively, but time will tell how he'll turn out. Let's see him play first before we call him a bust. If he turns out to be a solid rotation big, that's pretty good for this draft imo.

Agreed.
Regardless of his behaviour at this draft, I think people are getting sentimental, now that he´s close to retirement.

The man has always been the biggest embarrassment to the league, in my opinion.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Rotation big is great, but I am upset about losing those 2nd round picks we could have used next year for one thing or another. I still think he would have been there at 16.

But isnt Sullinger our man down low? He can pound and rebound..Olynyk cant really pound (from what I saw, more finesse) and isnt known for his rebound.

Anyone think we can finagle something for Ledo?

They're different.  Bargnani is a pure jump-shooter.  Olynyk is an inside-outside guy on offense who seems to have put up some of the best post-scoring numbers in the NCAA last season.

I've always enjoyed Stern playing up the heel angle for the crowd.

But I tell you what - I'll smile at it, you guys scowl at it, and at the end of the night we'll compare notes and see who had a better time.

MN sold the 26th pick to Golden State. It was there for the taking with nothing but cash. Why wouldn't DA jump on a deal like that?

It´s not even his behaviour at this draft. I can see how people think it´s funny.

It´s what he does the rest of the year I´m embarrassed for.
