I am willing to bet the house that KG, Pierce and Doc are all back next year

Whether that's a good or bad thing remains to be seen.

After spending most of the last week or two believing I'd seen the last of KG in green (and coming to grips with it), it is actually exciting that we may indeed continue to have the honor of watching Kevin Garnett play basketball in a Celtics uniform.

Something like that (lol)

I was kinda getting excited about going in a new direction.

Oh well, maybe this means we'll go after a big name like Smith, Millsap or Jefferson to team up with KG/Pierce

I think KG "wants" to be back and retire a Celtic.   Some how I think deep inside , he is just too green to be happy anywhere else.

I think legacy and being able to return anytime to a City that adores you when your an old timer would be great and think he WANTS to be remembered as a Celtic formost.

Pierce's jersey should be retired here and PIERCE deserves to retire here IF HE WANTS to.

I'm wanting the Players back, even knowing the Celtics aren't likely to contend. They are fun to watch for me anyway.....I like old school ball.

Really don't want to see RIvers again........ he is barely an average coach to begin with, just good at winning people over personality wise ,  I think he has lost the trust of the younger players on the  team , the Owners and the City .  Hope he disappears .

Yes, I would bet the house as well. Rondo's return is huge.
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

[Kevin Garnett]

Lol, yup.

I reckon along the way, losses to the Bobacats, Kings and Pistons as the Celts "save their energy for the playoffs."

Oh, and in March 2014, KG is out for a month with an "injury"

The Celtics seasons have become quite predictable (lol)

Danny would have to work some magic to get one of those names here.  We're way over the cap.

seriously, 90% of coaching is getting guys to play for you.  I am continually amazed at how little some fans appreciate what they have.

I would welcome this if it can be arranged.    8)

You think we'll be an 8 seed next year if everyone comes back? If we are healthy I think we can be a top four seed. I think if we made the DeAndre trade and moved Pierce we could still be an 8th seed.

If we keep the band together and are in the 8th spot around the trading deadline you probably will see us feverishly trading away guys.

Just because we start the season with everyone back doesn't mean it will end that way. I think this is best time to rebuild as well, but if no teams are giving us good value for our players then we should just keep them.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm still confused as to why the thinking is that we need to trade Pierce now or cut him. If we pick up his option, doesn't his deal become a very valuable trade chip at the trade deadline mid-season?

As for saving money, well, cutting Pierce and trading KG is a good way to lose ticket sales and merchandise sales for the next few years.

why not! Boston has plenty of handicapped accessible ramps. Bring on Pierce also. Both in with wheelchairs out with gurneys. Of course a defib on the sidelines.

I agree. The only 2 teams I put head and shoulders above us in the East are the Heat and Pacers, and the Pacers have a free agent in West to deal with.  We are right there in the next group with the Knicks, Nets, and Bulls.  We had terrible luck last year with injuries.  If we have a little luck go our way we'll be right in the mix.

I like that better than selling off the team, and banking on getting a top 5 pick next year.  Outside of Wiggins and maybe Parker I'm not sure who else could be a franchise altering player.
