I agree. The only 2 teams I put head and shoulders above us in the East are the Heat and Pacers, and the Pacers have a free agent in West to deal with.  We are right there in the next group with the Knicks, Nets, and Bulls.  We had terrible luck last year with injuries.  If we have a little luck go our way we'll be right in the mix.

For the 20 something minutes that Garnett plays a game.  When he is out we suck.

So pumped to be the 8th seed get bounced int he first round, and have an average pick in next years loaded draft!

LOL exactly.

Luckily I'm confident that Danny also sees how un-appealing that scenario is, so unlike gpap I strongly believe we've seen the last of Doc, KG, and Pierce on the Celtics.

I appreciate that Rondo missed a lot of this year, but the team wasn't very good even when he was playing.

I can't help but think people are being kind of arrogant when they say the Celtics would be the 3rd or 4th best team in the East if everybody came back.

Based on the most relevant, recent evidence, the Heat, Pacers, Knicks, and Nets are all better teams than the Celtics, at least in the regular season.  Derrick Rose will be back and I'm sure the Bulls will win a ton of games again with him playing, too.

That means the Celtics are at best a 6th seed, and that assumes a team like the Hawks won't bring in a big time free agent (admittedly a relatively safe assumption).
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

So you expect KG's minutes to dramatically drop from 30 to 20 MPG?  With Sully coming back, and a possible free agent signing, trade, or sign and trade our front line could be bolstered.

I would say 25 would be about right.   I think 29 is what he played last year.

May not matter. Clips opened talks again with Celts for Rivers. Might be offering a first round pick, according to Yahoo. KG returning might be up in the air again.

I just wish this crap was over and done with. Making the Celtic organization look bad with each passing day. More and more dirty laundry aired.

After spending most of the last week or two believing I'd seen the last of KG in green (and coming to grips with it), it is actually exciting that we may indeed continue to have the honor of watching Kevin Garnett play basketball in a Celtics uniform.

Same!

No Celtic fan in their right mind would want KG to finish in any other uniform than the Green. But, it seems like this Doc to the Clippers won't go away. Hard to imagine KG not playing for Doc if he ends up in L.A.
