Ray Allen: 2010 Celtics took GM 7 too lightly

Without NBA fixing game two with the no call on Rondo we would not be having this conversation, does Ray think the Spurs took it too lightly with their non calls.

Not really a big deal, though Ray Allen is not one to talk because he didn't play that great in the series.

I think however we all suspect there were probably alot of important games that the Celtics didn't take seriously over the last few years, and should have.

Which is why I think they should've won more than one title between 2007-2013.

That's how you know his conscience is kicking in hard.  He keeps talking about the C's even when nobody's responding to him.  He's saying and doing all he can to justify his phony move.

2010's gm7 in the finals was a painful memory for many if not all of us. but saying the C's took the game too lightly?!? um, ok. tell me i'm not alone in hoping that Allen and the Heat don't win game 7. tell me i'm not alone in hoping he and the rest of the Heat choke it up, coughing up TO after TO, trying to do too much in order to "not take the game too lightly".

Ray Allen is the John Starks of the playoffs, a hot & cold shooter, undependable in the clutch w/o a full 20 minutes of rest.

I don't know why he's been confused with the player from the prior decade, who'd played on the Bucks and the Sonics. That Ray Allen was a lights out shooter who could have easily taken us through the 1st two rounds in the 2008 playoffs without them going a full 7 games. Instead, he came alive in the ECF and thus, we made it through.

Afterwards, once again, he slipped into Starks mode and became the least *all star* of a playoff run. His move to Miami makes sense. He's at best, a Robert Horry type of player, just be at the right place at the right time, for a 3, and don't worry about having to lead your team anywhere; leave that worry to King James or Queen Wade.

Yes, but that means that he was never really a part of a big three, just a two & a half, if you don't include Rondo. Sure, we all heard that it took time to heal from the bone spur operation but that doesn't seem to explain the constant streaky-ness of his shooting.

All and all, his move to Miami was the confirmation of the fact that he couldn't live up to the standard, expected of him in Boston. He was too slow, coming off a screen, and likewise, too rusty to play one-on-one defense, for more than a few minutes at a time.

He made the right decision by joining the Heat.

If Ainge does in fact cut or trade Pierce and force Garnett out of town or into retirement, then yes, that along with the Heat's win last week, will vindicate Ray's decision.
