Please don't speak of the Celtics losing the Finals while you make a title run with the Heat! I wonder if PP, KG, or Rondo feel the same.

I don't like Ray either but at some point we have to stop finding ways to diss what he's saying. he's said some very interesting things about Doc and Rondo.

I actually believe him as well. Especially when you have a coach that's always blaming losses on it being a make or miss league. smh.

oh well. heatles are still gonna lose, so he'll be double sick.

Eh, I wouldn't take away too much from this.

Did the better team win?  I think we all think no.  So even if everyone gave 110%, you think "we could have done more", "we could have tried harder", etc., the better team lost, so we obviously didn't try hard enough or take it seriously enough, even though everyone gave 110%.  That's how I take his comment.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

took it lightly?  well I guess that's why he sucked every game after he had that record-setting game.  I remember every loss after that (and even the wins) where people here were just saying "what if Ray had a game where he just shot a normal %".

so many blamed his performance on getting hit by Artest.  Guess we know better now -- just a matter of taking it lightly.

What are you talking about, Ray? You're one of the reasons why we lost Game 7. Just look at your stats in that series.

Why should we give a pass to a statement that obviously doesn't pass the eye test, or doesn't make any sense at all and at the same time belittles his old team mates?  Who is he talking about?

I don't hold some huge grudge against RA, but if you are going to make statements like that, then people are going to call you out on it.

This is not finding a way to diss him, this is him finding a way to throw a well spoken jab. Don't speak for a team that you're no longer a part of. Ray should speak for himself because I'm quite sure the other starters don't feel they took the game "lightly". They just loss their center in GM 6, on the road, and against the Lakers. How can you take that lightly. He should just say he shot like crap with his 3-14.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I remember the Refs didn't take the game lightly.

Especially the 4th Quarter.

One of the most painful loses I ever seen.

I'm just talking about many of his comments about the Celtics. Some are cryptic (like this one) and some are forthright. He's telling us stuff. We just aren't listening.

DOESN'T take away from the fact that this was an unncessary comment and Ray is mad unprofessional.

Well I wasn't talking about any of Ray's other comments.  Who cares.  I was talking about this one.  No one here needs to give RA a pass for his stupid statements.

Well at least we didn't take last years game 7 lightly!

Seriously though Ray Allen is a weird interviewer. He talks A LOT and speaks well but the actual content is puzzling sometimes. He just keeps talkimg and you just nod as you have no idea what he is really trying to say

Says the guy who shot 3 for 14 (worst on the team), had just 2 assists (as opposed to 4 TOs), and just 2 rebounds? While playing 45 minutes and poor defense?

Shut up.

Right...it's ok to have your opinion, but don't slight your ex teammates that battled with you. Hell, it can be said that the Heat didn't start taking this series seriously until the 4th qtr last night when their season was flashing before their eyes.
