I'm waiting for a few members at Celtics blog who consistently defend him. One comes to my mind, who says he's a professional.

How can you say that now? Look at his words, and his veiled comments. Do you seriously think this is professionalism at its finest? This took a deep jab at the players who sweat blood and tears to win this game, only to defiantly lose their final game of the season due to injuries yet again.

Ray Allen shouldn't even talk, besides that clutch 3 pointer in the end to tie the game. What else did he really do? Ray you want to become a legendary player so badly? Stop talking, and let your actions on the court speak for you. This guy loves to take any chances or any tries to really hurt the Celtics.

How can you say that to the brothers in arm you went to war with?

I don't understand it and I never will. Ray Allen may be one of the best shooters to ever grace the game, but he's also one of the worst teammates, and I'm glad he joined the Heat. Now I don't have to worry about him ever being engraved with the likes of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Bird, Russell, McHale, Cousy, etc.

Ray didn't play well that game. He went 3-14. His under performance along with Perkins going down played a part in that loss in game 7. And I highly doubt Pierce and KG would take any game in tha Finals, or in tha playoffs period lightly.

I hope tha Spurs win on thursday. I believe in them to bounce back from last night's disappointing loss. I believe in them and Pop to correct mistakes that were made and I hope they crush tha Heat's heart tomorrow. I want Ray's experience in a Heat jersey to be a failure. He's found himself in a better and much easier situation where he doesn't have to do much. His failures can be masked by LeBron and he seems to drop a duece on tha C's any chance he gets. Well I hope Pop and tha Spurs drop a duece on his and tha Heat's chance to cop another ring.

Ray shot horribly but I remember him defending Kobe very well and being a big part of him going 6-24.  But that aside, I'm also curious to know what "taking it lightly" meant.  Maybe we didn't really respect them after kicking their butts in 2008, and just kind of expected there was no way they could beat us.  That attitude wouldn't really surprise me with that bunch.

For folks asking why Ray is talking about it - he's the only guy in the series who played in the last Finals Game 7, so of course they're going to ask him about it.

It certainly would be bizzare if the Celtics took game 7 of NBA finals lightly while missing there starting center due to injury 2 days prior.

I'm sorry it os a stupid statment and don't believe it for a second- for any team in any game 7 of any sport ever.

He likes to hear himself talk and maybe he is trying to motivate the Heat since it looks lile they've been taking it easy but give me a break.

If anyone goes back and watches that game they are busting their butt every second of that game.

They looked like they died after and were balling in the lockerroom Doc was pretty much cryimg during the presser.

I'm pretty sure they weren't upset for not trying as hard or taking the defending champion lightly while we were missing a starter.

If anythig it was the complete opposite

This comment has made me lose any RESPECT I've ever had for Ray Allen. How can you make such an audacious comment? Jesus, man.

Eh, I wouldn't take away too much from this.

Did the better team win?  I think we all think no.  So even if everyone gave 110%, you think "we could have done more", "we could have tried harder", etc., the better team lost, so we obviously didn't try hard enough or take it seriously enough, even though everyone gave 110%.  That's how I take his comment.

Well we may have thought we were the betrer team.

Still we finished second half of season with 500 record

We were missing our starting Center the last 2 away games of a seven game series

We clearly didn't have homecourt

We were playing the defending NBA champions

National consensus was that we were an underdog.

Ray can talk about the lakers taking game 6 in Boston in 2008 lightly.  Its odd to pick that game 7 tho, very odd. I'd be curious to see how many of his former teammates agree with him.  I'm guessing zero

Whatever, Judas.  3-14 in game 7.  0-13 in game 4.  Overall horrible series in those Finals save game 2.  You didn't step up when it counted.  And you want to say that the team didn't take game 7 seriously?  If you say so, princess.

I forgot didn't Ron Artests knee touch Ray Allen and that's why he was so off most of that series?

What an idiot.  Trying to somehow make himself look good, Ray only calls attention to how he coughed up the bit in his last game seven for the Celts.

I remember people giving that reason for why he shot like crap for the rest of the series other than game 2.

I stopped caring about Ray and let everything go a long time ago, but I hope he was talking about himself too when he said that comment.
I wonder how his ex teammates, Doc and even Danny will feel if they hear about this because their faces and body language after that game showed nothing about taking it lightly.

Ray Allen said 2010 #celtics took Gm 7 moment "too lightly." Added he gets "sick feeling" when thinking of 83-79 loss

Please don't speak of the Celtics losing the Finals while you make a title run with the Heat! I wonder if PP, KG, or Rondo feel the same.

says the guy who went 3-14 with 4 TO's. You can play as hard as you want but if youre not clutch, it does't matter.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I don't like Ray either but at some point we have to stop finding ways to diss what he's saying. he's said some very interesting things about Doc and Rondo.

I actually believe him as well. Especially when you have a coach that's always blaming losses on it being a make or miss league. smh.

I don't put much stock at all in anything Ray would say about Doc or the other players at this point in time. He's just a tool.

Not that I'm trying to defend Ray but I believe he did get banged up from Artest in game 2, and wasn't the same the rest of that series.  He did shoot 8 out of 11 from 3 point land in game 2.

He is seriously a d*** for that one!
I think its funny how he forgets how horrible he was playing in that serie against Lakers!
Just some examples:
Game 3 (In Boston): 0-13 2 points
Game 7 (In LA): 3-14 13 points

Ray should just shut up to be honest, we would have won the title in 2010 if he wasnt so inconsistent.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
