Clippers is getting nowhere if they are only offering us DeAndre Jordan and one first round pick.

Danny should ask for 2 First round picks + DJ + Caron Butler for Doc, KG and Terry (Would rather keep Lee, he is younger).

Agreed, but I think first Danny should ask for Bledsoe and Jordan. You don't want cp3 to leave? Then do it.. If they won't budge, go for the deal you proposed. Nothing less. If Simmons is accurate, let's use that leverage. They did reach out to us

Gary Washburn @GwashNBAGlobe now
NBA source said #clippers determined to get deal done now. We'll see if they sweeten the pot for #celtics

Since both sides are fully aware of all the possible permutations of any deal, somebody blinked, or else what's the point in resuming discussions.  Bet this'll be done NLT tomorrow afternoon.  The sooner the better.

I'm creative.  I can come up with other ideas.

Doc, KG, and the Celtics 2013 first-round pick for Jordan, the Clippers' 2013, 2015, and 2017 picks and a couple of second-round picks, plus the Celtics have the right to swap first-round picks in 2014.

Caron Butler, Willie Green, three firsts.  A second-round pick or two.  They can keep Deandre Jordan.

Jordan, Bledsoe, 2014 first, and future second, plus the teams swap first-round picks in 2013 and Celtics have the right to swap first-round picks in 2015.

I think since they come to us they will be the ones conceding. The question is will they concede to Bledsoe, taking on extra salary or another first round pick.

My order of preference
1. Bledsoe
2. Salary
3. Pick
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Agreed, him and Bradley in the back court for a few minutes a game would give opposing guards fits.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Here's my thinking.

CP3 has expressed interest in playing with KG and Dwight. An acceptable package for KG is DeAndre and Bledsoe, which we would take now. In addition, they'd probably end up with Pierce.

In order to get Dwight, on the other hand, you have to give up Griffin (inarguably the better player) instead of DeAndre, and even then the Lakers might not take it.

So, it's a choice of probably getting:
CP3-Green-Pierce-Griffin-Garnett
... and maybe getting
CP3-Green-Butler-Jordan-Howard

Which of those teams is better? Really?

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Just give us Bledsoe/Jordan and a first round pick, or take on a salary, and give us the first round pick.

Why be cheap? You clearly want CP3...
