This is pretty sad.

I wasn't thrilled with bledsoe but at least getting him was something.

Jordan is just really bad. Hes gotta be one of the worst starting centers in the league. And that's playing with Chris Paul and Griffin. Scary stuff

He would be a more mobile, running perk without the good low post defense.  ie under 10 pts a game but i'd hope 10 rebounds
double double, sully for sure as a starter
i actually like the sound of a team:
rondo
free agent sg (reddick?)
green
sully
jordan

bench
pierce (yep i'm still sticking w/ cap)
bass
bradley
shav

insert others

Sure he can.  Stats mean nothing.

The better question is, can DeAndre Jordan help this team win, and is his contract a smart allocation of dollars on a restrictive salary cap?

On those questions, I'm skeptical.

Absolutely agree on the stats, but I think the key here is, if KG and Doc leave the celtics, do they really want to win?  I don't think so.

Trust me, im not rooting for another 18 game losing streak.  But I think if Jordan puts up a double double with us, he immediately becomes much more valuable as a flippable asset as well as our likely lottery pick.

he could probably manage a double-double --> rebounds and FT attempts.  might get some triple doubles too
--> rebounds, FT attempts and missed FTs

In Big Al's last season with Boston he averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds on .517% shooting at age 22.

With Rondo getting Jordan good looks, I could see him putting up 12 and 10 with a mid .500 shooting %

how so?  Big Al actually had serious offensive post moves.  Jordan doesn't score unless he's dunking or a rebounding putback.  It's not like he's going to get multiple dunks/lobs in a game.  Rondo might catch a team napping on a play to lob to Jordan once a game but the other team will either catch on quickly or just foul Jordan knowing he'll be lucky to make a single FT.

Deandre Jordan is the most overrated players in the nba, playoffs: 3,6 pp 6,6 reb.

KG at 37 and injured 12,7 pp and 13,7 reb in last playoffs.

Deandre Jordan= Highligts, no more.

TP for you. He stinks. has no offensive game whatsoever...not a great rebounder for his size...just another guy playing center.

Somebody has to score.  If the deal goes through you are talking about a starting lineup off

Rondo
Bradley
Green
Sully
Jordan

When Pierce went down in 06-07 TA averages like 20 ppg for a stretch.  I don't think a jump from 8ppg to 12 ppg is that unlikely given the rest of the team.

He had Chris Paul passing him the ball for two seasons.  Paul is the best PG in the NBA.  The difference in terms of passing between Rondo and Paul is minimal.

Right but Paul and Griffin and probably Crawford are better scorers than any player remaining on the celtics.  (Green and Crawford are probably close)

I think there will be many more shot opportunities for Jordan, which is also why im predicting his Shooting percentage to drop from the mid 600's to the mid 500's
