He can.
Regardless of him making his free throws or not, he can grab 10-12 boards and score around 12 points a game if he's playing at least 32 minutes, which he should if he plays for us.
A little off topic but somewhat related. Im pretty sure that his bad FT% prompted some "coaching" to fix his shots.
To me DeAndre should just screw mechanics and shoot it like how he does before other people tweaked his shots. That video was posted, when I looked at it, to me he looks like he's trying hard to put an arc to the shot instead of just focusing and trying to put the ball in the hole. I think he'll improve he just completely scrap everything and just shoots comfortably, no matter how flat or how off the form is. Just like Duncan's and Bogut's FT's. They're not good shooters but certainly more reliable than DeAndre is at the line, and they never changed. Their FT's are still flat, yet it finds the hole. DeAndre should do the same. If he shoots 50% (make one, miss one), that's good enough.
