Barring commitments either makes before then, source tells http://SportsCity.com  #Clippers-#Celtics will restart talks before June 27 draft

Mark has been pretty on top of this whole story so I believe him.

Could end up being a draft day trade and the Clips trade their 2013 pick and 2015 pick, instead of 2014/2017 as previously talked about.

if the negotiations will resume, i still hope we get something more than DeAndre and a couple of weak picks. I mean, KG and Doc [and Pierce, if they get him too] are pretty much the epitome of Celtics culture right now. If they walk, i don't know if the team will have much of an identity anymore.

If the clips techically use theirpick (pickimg whoever the c's want) THEN trade, they could actually trade us their 2013 and 2014 firsts becausethey would technically be using their 2013 pick.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Is there any reason for Doc to have a press conference today if this is the case?

By the way Stephen A ripped the Clippers good this morning for not wanting to give up Bledsoe to get the deal done.

Maybe Clippers management are feeling heat from the media and they give in on Bledsoe?

Hope so

I think this is what ends up happening. If it does all the Ricky Ledo lovers will probably be happy with the 25th pick.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Sigh, I was happy this deal was over. Unless LAC budges, what else is there to discuss?

Jordan is such a terrible basketball player.

I am in no way a big DeAndre Jordan fan, but people need to get real.  Jordan's numbers last season were better than what Kendrick Perkins has put up for most of his career.  If Jordan never improves a single bit from now on, he's still no worse than a slightly overpaid, mediocre starting center in the NBA.  He may not be worth getting, depending on what other moves Ainge has in mind, but the idea that there are a whole lot of better, cheaper centers out there is silly.

My friend Stephen A. Smith tore into the clippers for not doing the trade.

I wondered about this.  I think this is best case scenario now.  Getting this year's 25th and a 1st (even if late) in next year's draft is a good thing.  You never know -- Clips could implode, they'll have a couple of old-timers.

Assume this means that Doc made clear to Danny he wasn't coming back.

Hopefully this means Clips reconsidering stance on 1st round picks.

Maybe give us the 25 this year and their pick in 2015 or 2016.  I imagine they were reluctant to give up 2014 pick AND a pick all the way in 2017 (who knows what they'll be like by then).

The Clippers reached out to the Celtics this afternoon to resume dialogue on a possible deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.
