Because I love that we're paying Rivers $7 million to quietly court Garnett for Los Angeles.

Updating a previous item, the Celtics want DeAndre Jordan in a potential blockbuster trade involving Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers. "They really want him," source told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com.

This is contrary to an earlier report that Boston wants Eric Bledsoe in a trade. The news is flying around all over the place with this story and reports from the Orange County Register say the talks are "serious" and "very true." Jordan didn't make a strong impact in the playoffs, shooting just 45.5 percent from the field, which is way down from his season field goal shooting of 64.3 percent.

This is a crap-tastic deal if there ever was.  The onyl good thing that can come from it is the firing of Ainge.

Which will be a very satisfying day for me.

Amen.

See I don't get the conflict and resentment if every party concerned is up for turning the team upside down. My guess is everyone from the players to Doc/Danny/Wyc& company/and  most fans feel that we are not the Eastern Conference version of the Spurs, and it's time to cash in our chips and move on. I disagree with the assumption that there's internal bad blood. I guess we'll find out in the summer through the press.

If C's net EB, DJ, Butler expiring and 2 picks I'll be glad.   But the deal is at least debatable and I could understand someone preferring to keep KG, Doc and Paul (who will surely go somewhere if this goes down).

What would be difficult to debate, howaever, is that DA is a good GM.  You could argue that there are better, but I doubt too many top ten GM lists (current) would leave off Danny.

And there really can't be disagreement that Danny is the 2nd best GM in Celtics history, can there?  If not, who?

so, accordng to Woj, the reason the Clips are hesitant to include bledsoe is that Doc wants to coach him.

what a joke...now Doc thnks he has some sort of clout on the trade? The c's hold all the cards. They could easily make Doc not be able to coach for 3 years...

not to mention how I feel after Doc signed that 5 year deal WELL knowing that he would be a part of rebuilding

I see the positives of the trade and am for it, but I do admire the unremitting devotion of the few against it.

Doc only  wants to coach players someone else has developed.

I like KG to the Clips even if they just get Jordan.

I don't want them to trade Pierce for Butler.  I think they should try to do something with Houston, maybe picking up Omer Asik and another young talent.

Houston opens up cap space for Howard after they wave Pierce and Boston gets another valuable young big man (along with Jordan) that they can either trade or keep to run with Rondo and Green.

The league's full of GMs that have never put together a title team. I can imagine how thrilled you guys will be if we get one of them.

if this trade happens, i'll be a "Celper" or "Cliptic" for the next season or 2. I will still be primarily rooting for the rebuilding Celtics, but will also be rooting for the success of Doc, KG and Paul Pierce!
