and some people thought we should demand Blake Griffin, LOL.
We are holding out to get Eric Bledsoe. Think about that.
yea that's just delusional thinking . No way is Blake in the deal
Most like deal IMO
Bos sends: KG, Doc, Terry or Lee
LAC Sends: Jordan, Bledsoe, Butler(Expiring)and 2 1st's
Then trade PP to a team looking to clear salary , getting a pick back. That team then buy's out PP and he goes to LA to join Doc and KG
This scenario makes most sense to me .
I mostly agree with you, although I don't know that Danny could necessarily get the two firsts with that package. I keep hearing people repeat that we are in the driver's seat. Well, it takes two to tango. I mean, from Danny's perspective, how many teams are willing to trade for KG and have assets we'd want. This list is vanishingly small and must be a team on the cusp of a championship, so if we don't get a deal done with the Clips, then who else do we get a deal done with? Danny would rather get something for his aging and soon to be gone old stars than nothing. If he somehow gets both Jordan and Bledsoe, that's way better than nothing for KG and PP. If he gets one first out of them too, all the better. I just don't think he'll get both Jordan and Bledsoe *AND* two firsts. That's way too much for them to give up for one or two years of KG (and Doc coaching them.)
Don't underestimate the value of Doc. He is highly regarded around the league and CP3 wants him as a coach. If getting Doc keeps CP3 in LA, then the deal is totally worth it for the Clips.
You could be right. Doc's had a good run with us since we got KG, but if I'm the Clippers, I'm wondering 'Is Doc that much better than say, Lionel Hollins, or George Karl that we need to give up the farm for him and 37 year old KG?' To me, Jordan, Bledsoe, Butler and 2 firsts for KG, Lee and Doc is too steep, but this is the Clippers we're talking about, so you never know.
