Okay, it's starting to feel like we may have something to worry about here.

Broussard and SAS individually are hacks but you don't get this much smoke without there being some real heat somewhere.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I think Doc is putting pressure on Ainge not to go the "blow up" route but the "give it a go" now.

Yeah I'm getting nervous... Though there are a lot of good coaches without jobs out there right now at least we would have options

This is so childish. Just leave, guy.
Take Paul and KG with you.
I'll assume Rondo would be next.

It's fine.
We'll be good one day.
Oh well!

I think Doc ends up staying. Doc seems like a sincere guy and after talking about being a Celtic for life last year I don't think he would just jump ship.

To me, this is just Doc using the leverage of his situation to make sure Danny doesn't go into full rebuild mode.

I think even if the Celtics do go in full rebuild mode, they will be doing it with players that Doc loves and will want to stay with. Rondo, Bradley and Sullinger all seem like Doc's guys. Maybe I'm foolish, but I think when push comes to shove he comes back regardless of the direction of the team.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Honestly, if the Celtics do end up going down the "rebuild through youth" road, I would not mind Doc leaving and bringing in a coach with stronger developmental skills (even if they are not strong playoff coaches.  Make that change when the team is playoff ready)

But if the Celtics are planning to stay in contention, I rather Doc stay.

Who would be such a coach, can you list some please. Is Karl a good developmental coach?

If this is true, Danny needs to man up.
At the end of the day, this is HIS club.

Let Doc go, hire someone else -- Hollins, Karl, Shaw, SVG -- Don't deal Rondo, trade PP for a big, let KG decide and move on.
This is ridiculous. It really is. For a coach that had an OK season and some players who barely showed up in the playoffs.

This is getting out of hand. man up, Danny.

What exactly does that mean though? Change in his status? That he is able to talk to other teams? Idk this whole thing is making me sick to my stomach.

No thanks, and I doubt Rondo would want to be apart of a rebuilding process. So I guess we're trading him too.

Honestly, if we really are at a point where Doc is using his decision about whether or not to leave as leverage to influence his GM's decision making about how to build the team moving forward, Doc should just leave.

Your head coach and your GM need to be on the same page and willing to work together.  If Doc and Danny's relationship really is in a place where one is playing games to force the other's hand, the relationship is not redeemable.

I don't want a half-hearted, lackadaisical coach.

He might be right. It might be time for a change.

The team's effort level over the last few regular seasons has been far to up and down. A new coach. A new voice. A new leader could be what this team needs.
