Scott Skiles.  I think he'd really enjoy the Rondo/Bradley backcourt.

Also used to be on Ainge's staff in Phoenix so there's an existing relationship there.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson

Do not want Franks. Would want Shaw, either of the Van Gundy's, or Bird.

Same here.  Not sure why anybody would want Lawrence Franks after the two losing seasons he had in Detroit.

He also wasn't a very good assistant coach in Boston either.
I would be happy with either of the Lawrence Franks.

I'd be very excited if we managed to get JVG.

Shaw doesn't look like he's coming here.

Lionel Hollins would make my day too.

If doc steps away, it means we are in tank mode and have no interest in winning games.  So I'd say it doesn't really matter... Whoever helps us lose the most.  Hire M.L Carr or vitali potapenko.

Doc's not leaving, but I like Karl, Van Gundy, (kind of), and Collins, (OK).

I think I'd be interested in giving the job to a guy who's new to head coaching in the NBA, who nonetheless has some kind of background or track record being a mentor and teaching young players.

Somebody like Spoelstra or Vogel who can grow along with his players.  Ideally 4-5 years from now we have a promising young squad with 55+ win potential.

Sloan is 71.  Not too old to coach, but maybe too old to want to coach. Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anything from him that indicates he wants back in.

JVG and Karl have some cache which I like  -- doesn't always work, but i like.  Never been crazy about SVG -- he over-reacts and makes me nervous to watch him.

I feel Doc is not agree with DA. So maybe he is not gona come back. So, new coach? My first option wil be Jerry Sloan. He can be a great coach for Cs team.

Larry Bird, Coach and GM.

Like this idea alot.

Former Celtic.

Was the architect of the current Indiana Pacers roster.

Good eye for talent.

I'd rather have Larry Bird making roster decisions instead of Danny Ainge

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Well now that Lionel Hollins is on the market I'd say balls to the wall for him.

Dream scenario would be a combo of Danny Ainge + Larry Bird for coach and GM. Both very good at both jobs.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

JVG wants to go to a contender he's not coming to a blown up boston team
