What's the point in winning when you are not a significant contributor? He's an average bench player on the Heat.

I still believe he made the right decision though because he had regressed so much that playing with Lebron and Wade helps him hide that regression and prolong his career.

Neither validation nor vindication!!!!

Anybody who believes that Judas' main motivation to leave here was to win is delusional.

I posted this yesterday in one of the threads on Judas:

A great quote from a poster on RealGM:

http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=1254043

"It still bothers me that people actually believe Judas left "for the best chance to win another ring." What a bunch of malarkey. This guy's a petulant child and he spurned us for Miami cause it was the best way to stick it to Rondo/Doc/Danny and whoever's hurt in the process be [dang]ed.

Do you guys remember what his actual given reason was for leaving? "Family reasons." Yes, he supposedly took LESS MONEY to move his sick diabetic child far away from both the BEST medical care in THE WORLD & his offseason home in Connecticut. What a noble guy! No need for toilet paper, this guy shats soft serve ice cream (mmmm... chocolatey). He used that "family reasons" line because NOBODY can possibly call him out for it. It's a copout and Pat Riley probably fed it to him.

"Reserved" DOES NOT directly translate to "Classy," which I feel is what a lot of people are missing with this jabroni. You don't have to be loud and overtly obnoxious to be a narcissist and this turkey is living proof. Even if he does win a ring all that proves is that he's got a solid grip when he's grasping LeBron's coattails. I've seen NO evidence that this clown has ANY bearing on whether the Heat win or lose."

This sums it up for me about Judas in a way that I would struggle to replictate.

The only way I see "family reasons" as being legit, is if his wife and kids wanted to live in south beach instead of dealing with boston winters, which I can understand I suppose. I think the main factor though is playing for the Heat hides his regressed abilities, and he's too proud to say so.

He didn't have to leave the Celts

Take less money and complain about nothing at all

I don't even need him now

He can't run without cramping and that is so rough.

He shouldn't have gone to the Heat

He shouldn't have acted like a little spoiled brat and no

I don't even need his "D"

Now he's just a player I don't even know.

When we sat down and we talked about it, we being my family and the people that supported me over my life, we talked about being selfish and giving ourselves the best opportunity to win. We wanted to win, we didn’t want to be in a situation where we were going to struggle. Sitting here in this situation, it’s a great relief. Because sometimes you take a gamble. Your family believes in you, and we’re here and I can say that we’re in the situation we put ourselves in and we’re happy with it.

I root for him to miss shots.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

My favorite line from that article:

"Whether that road ends with this season or the next or the one after that remains to be seen. Just know that it doesn't end with him in a Celtics jersey."

Thank blankin' God!! Good riddance.

It was a business decision and the team put me in the position where we had to move. We had to go. Miami was a better choice for us based on what the team was doing, so it wasn’t, don’t boo me, boo the team in a sense. Now it’s out of my control. … When this contract situation came down, everybody in my circle — mom, family, brother, sister, friends from college, people who watched me since I was in high school and since I was in college — nobody wanted me to resign in that situation because they thought, ‘There [is] so much left in you and this team isn’t taking care of you or treating you right.’ That’s the way I felt and it was like, if you are going to come and not put out a good contract on the table then, hey, we gotta think about going somewhere else. – Ray Allen

Man, reading his quote is so hard. But come on, don't blame the Celtics; they got you your only ring!

That's probably the most honest we've heard Ray.  He made the decision because he felt slighted by the team.

No the players got the organization a ring at the end of the day sure the players get paid to play but they are the ones that have to go out there and perform and if you ask me if we didn't have Ray we wouldn't have won that championship as he was as big a part as KG and Pierce
