Rumor: The Big Ticket is coming back for one more year!

As posted on the front page, there is a rumor that The Big Ticket KG is coming back for one more year.

Jackie Mac on CSNNE: "I'm hearing that Kevin Garnett is coming back for one more year... they're all waiting on KG"

Jackie Mac also said that they don't know if KG still needs surgery or not, so there's that

That means, Pierce is probably coming back too.

With or without Pierce? I don't like the comment about not knowing if he needs surgery yet. Why not just do it if he's coming back, so that he can recover in time for training camp?

that is a lot to walk away from.  he only resigned last offseason for 3 years.  had to figure he'd play more than 1

I'm half kidding, but it is a lot. He'd forfeit $22 million in total.

If it's true, I'll still watch the team next year and all, but I can't say I'll be excited for it.

Bringing the gang back is basically committing to a bridge year where the only progress if whatever improvement we see from Bradley, Sullinger, Melo, and whatever guy we take at #16.

I also have a hard time seeing us getting Millsap unless a Pierce trade is somehow involved.  I still don't think KG is coming back unless Pierce is still around, though.

The line up needs some tweaking though. Having them both together  on the floor for a long stretch is an ingredient to a disaster. For a few crucial moments maybe they could be on the floor together - if it couldn't be avoided like when both are so "hot" and had fresh legs during a certain stretch. The team really plays slow with PP in their. Of course there are other exceptions on this premise like one when they have 3 very athletic and very talented/skillful guys - not just role players (ie like everyone not named Rondo, Jeff Green and Sullinger) - on the floor with them.
A lot of times in the playoffs and regular season that both played on the floor together and we all see we got outran, outrebounded (most of the times) and outgunned. Mostly due to Doc's persistence of having them both out there.
