YES!
I love Millsap and he would be perfect for our team.
He's better for us than Al Jeff because he can run the floor and more importantly he keeps KG at the 4 and let's Green play small forward. The Heat also struggle to guard him-he's torched them throughout his career. Playing with Rondo and KG we could have an all star on our hands. The kid is still young (28?) And is a banger under glass. Averages just under 10 rebounds a game and that's sharing the paint with Big Al.
Now clear Pierce for Dallas' pick.
Sign a decent shooting guard on a shorter deal or sign a younger player with potential.
Sign Millsap.
Starting 5 that could get to the ECF if we we're lucky.
Rondo
Redick(averages 20ppg with Rondo passing to him)
Green
Millsap
KG
Not sure what other shooting guards are available but we could also move Bass and Lee or something similar for a solid 2 guard. I still think Redick would be enough if we are running it back one more year. Less so if we don't run it back but if you can get him for 3 years 20ish million he'd be good value. I said in another thread the reason Danny likes him is because he stretches floor like Ray Allen and really hasn't ever played with a pass first PG. Last year he averages 17.2 points and 5 assists per 36 mins. With Rondo finding him and KG and Millsap kicking out to him he'd have a good shot at scoring 18-20ppg and draining some clutch threes in 32-36 minutes per game.
Sully, Lee, Terry, Bass off bench.
Need one more big man though. Need to draft a ready to roll big man or pick someone up.
We'll need multiple bigs to help KG AND Millsap because the Bulls, Pacers, Spurs and Grizzlies are going to be threats with size that we'll have to get through at some point.
