Now be realistic. I would love if we could somehow package guys like Terry,AB,Bass,Melo,Crawford, and Lee for something either being Al Jefferson or Josh Smith. If that happened would love to get J.J. Redick or Kyle Korver on this team. We need a dead eye since Ray left and would be huge to spread the floor for us. Well I am interested in hearing peoples moves. So let me know what you think!

i was hoping we could package Bass, Lee, Terry,Melo, Bradley, and picks for Demarcus Cousins and Toney Douglas in a multi-team deal. Then, KG retire. We could then re-work Pierce's contract to 2 yr 8 mil a year. With the left over money we could offer Josh Smith 4 years 48 mil. He would take it if he really wants to play here. The we draft Kentavious Caldwell-pope. We then sign a shooter and a big with the mini Mle and vet mins like Martell Webster. Hopefully we could buy a 2nd pick and draft Mike Muscala.

Rajon Rondo/ Toney Douglas/ Terrence Williams
Caldwell-pope/ Martell Webster/ Jordan Crawford
Jeff Green/ Paul Pierce/ Donte Greene
Josh Smith/ Jared Sullinger/ Chris Wilco
Demarcus Cousins/ Mike Muscala/ Shavlick Randolph

In my perfect off season we somehow miraculously trade for Kevin Love, then build around a core of Love, Rondo, and Green.

More realistically I'd like to move KG and Pierce for some athletic high upside guys that moves the franchise to its next phase.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

KG, Pierce, Doc, and Ainge decide to give it one more go.

Rondo's rehab eclipses Adrien Peterson's as the model for ACL recovery.

Sullinger comes into training camp lean and strong with a spotless bill of health.

Celtics acquire Marcin Gortat from Phoenix for Melo, Crawford, Shav Randolph, DJ White, and the rights to Boston's 2013 1st rounder.

Celtics bring back Jason Collins and Leandro Barbosa on vet minimum deals.

Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley, and Jeff Green enroll in anger management classes, and learn how to get a mean streak.

Now be realistic.

Um, nevermind.

PP and Bradley traded to the Clippers for Deandre Jordan, Caron Butler, and Eric Bledsoe . KG retires as a result. Rondo is traded to Bucks for Ilyasova and Larry Sanders.

Lineup looks like:

Bledsoe/Williams/Terry
Lee/Crawford/Terry
Green/Ilyasova/Butler
Sullinger/Bass/Randolph
Jordan/Sanders/Melo

This lineup gives us just as much a shot as we have right now. It could challenge for the playoffs. A lot more youth and athleticism. Stick with this team a couple years and add pieces as Terry and Butler and Bass leave and you might hit lighting.

 I
I'm not hating, but to me that basically turns us into the worst pieces of the Clippers (over rated to the max), with the best part of the Bucks (a losing record 8th seed).
We might make the playoffs in the 7th or 8th seed but would be bounced very quickly.
Only way I'd take that squad is to build up the value of a lot of those mediocre guys like DeAndre, Jeff Green and Bledsloe...then trade em for a superstar.
If we were to keep that roster they'd barely make the top 12 each season.

Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm a huge Larry Sanders fan, however trading for him and Jordan wouldn't make sense considering they are both limited offensively and would struggle to be on the court at once.

As much as I detest him, sign LeBron James when he become free agent lolol.

Then entice a few All-Star caliber players to come play in the cold-weathered Boston!

Thats what those  "/" marks mean. Sanders would be backing up Jordan. They wouldn't be on the floor at the same time.

As far as Green being mediocre, he basically mirrored PP's stats this season. If you take out the first half of the season due to shaking off rust and coming off the bench I'd say he was the better player and was improving. Bledsoe is a solid PG, not spectacular, but that spot on the floor isn't what will make the difference in a championship.

1. Draft Gorgui Dieng with the 16th pick.

2. Trade Pierce, Garnett & Williams to the Clippers for Blake Griffin, Eric Bledsoe & Caron Butler.

3. Amnesty Caron Butler & Sign Kendrick Perkins (IF OKC amnesties him)

4. Trade Jason Terry to Memphis for their trade exception.

5. Sign Leandro Barbosa, Mickael Pietrus & Sam Young all to the minimum.

2013-14 BOSTON CELTICS ROSTER:

Rajon Rondo / Eric Bledsoe/ Leandro Barbosa
Avery Bradley/ Courtney Lee/ Jordan Crawford
Jeff Green/ Mickael Pietrus/ Sam Young
Blake Griffin/ Jared Sullinger/ Brandon Bass
Kendrick Perkins/ Gorgui Dieng/ Fab Melo

Nice Young team with alot of flexibility moving forwards.

Pierce and Garnett come back.  The Celtics get Elton Brand.  A solid veteran point guard who is not an undersized shooting guard in a point guard's body signs with the Celtics for the minimum.  Ainge goes overseas to find a tough, American-born center who is a bit of a thug and has developed a couple of post moves and a mid-range jumper that is nothing special but good enough that you can't just leave him open.  Basically, someone who is not as worthless as Chris Wilcox on offense.
