Rivers is terrible. The 08 team would have won no matter who was at the helm. We were stacked. Look at what Pop has done with the spurs in a similar circumstances with a aging
group.

This team is totally lost on offense and the rotations are different every night.  Terry and Lee confidence is totally shot. Doc has done a exceptionally poor job this year.

Comparing the spurs and comparing the celtics isn't really a fair comparison. Yes, they have two aging stars in Manu and Duncan, but their supporting cast is far superior to our current squad. You might as well call the thread fire Danny, if that's your criteria.

We have one of these threads every month ... from the same OP.

Doc is an excellent coach and he's not getting fired ... get used to it.

It might be a good idea to widen your perspective a bit if you think coaching is the problem with this team.

Gotta agree on this one, Rivers was horrible this year, didn't know how to utilize the new guys properly and really questionable rotations.

Doc Rivers: All around great guy but easily the most overrated coach in the NBA. My guess is he's gone when KG and PP go.

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you that Doc was killing this team, and I do not credit him with the 2008 chip. He lucked into the adjustments in the final due to foul problems and injuries. Besides that was one bad laker team he beat in the finals. Phil Jackson with exactly the teams Doc has had since 2008 wins 2 more chips.

The Spurs supporting cast is superior as a result of superior coaching.
We are getting the least possible from Terry,Lee and Bass isnt far behind.
Wilcox isnt playing at all? Resting Pierce and Garnett seemed to have backfired.
Bradley hasnt played well at the pg spot.

Doc is just clueless. Thru his whole tenure our offense has been stagnant and predictable.
Cant be Ray Allens fault this year. Must be Terrys fault. Or better yet Danny Ainge.

Docs not a bad guy just terrible on the bench

Is it really though? Doc managed KG's minutes, KG is still hurt, and well behind TD. Rondo is hurt, Parker is not. Pierce and Manu are both giving about all they can. But then the Spurs also have one of the leagues most promising small forwards, and incredibly capable and efficient supporting cast players rounding out the rotation in Leonard, Green, and Splitter.

Doc is missing his best player, and the next two of his top 3 players are hurt.

The spurs are the best run org in the league and have had the same group of core starters and bench players for the last 2-3 years if not more. Boston has 7-9 new players or players that we are refitting into the group.

Cut it out. I mean no disrespect but i'm sick of seeing these threads. We all have our opinions about Doc, but he isn't going anywhere and I wish all tha Doc haters out there would realize that. What other available coach would you rather have out there leading this team other than Doc?

Danny himself said that there's no one else other than Doc he would have coaching this team. Doc as well as tha next man isn't perfect but for his imperfections, he's still a great coach in my opinion and as long as we still have him as tha head coach, I don't want anyone else.

Even Popovich can't win when his best guy is injured, folks.

doc is not an excellent coach at all. terrible offensive system consisting mainly of outside jumpshots and being allergic to the paint and high % shots. smallball. let's do this rebuild without doc. enough is enough. I gave doc every chance in the book and he failed. he does not get the most out of his players by coaching them up. does not use them properly either. we have seen it all this year.
