Can we atleast win Sunday, the idea of "sweep" haunts me.

I think they're good enough to not be swept.

even if we had won tonight we were still losing in 5. just face it. but now, we have quit so i see a sweep. it is over. it's over.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

With rondo down, we've been exposed. Rondo was our only player who can hold onto the ball, dribble correctly, and pass correctly, hence why he is always "pounding the ball."

Good thing this team never seems to get a true pg to back him up. Doc is always trying to convert a sg or sf to be our backup pg. Just dumb!!!

Danny gets blame for this one too!

Agree with both of you

Gotta give credit to NY, they have played very well. I hope they can beat Miami, especially now that Westbrook is done in OKC.

When you have a choice between Pierce and Bass to defend Carmelo, of course, I mean, of course, infinity out of infinity, you have to take Bass.  It's common sense.  The ability to fall for pumpfakes and allow penetration are the hallmarks of great defense.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Bradley just got exposed. He may be a ball hawk, but he sure isnt fast enough.

I like him, but someone form the board was right, we should have traded him when his stock was high.

Good teams actually have backup points and bigs who can rebound.  I wish Ainge can join the revolution sometime soon. Good teams do not use players like Bass.  It's nonsense.

I never bought the excuses. Not in Doc's whole tenure as coach.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I don't think I've ever seen a Celtics team in the KG/Big 3 era just give up before until tonight.
.   Not a team, really.  PP and KG and a bunch of guys they dont know.  Its far form the gang of peers and hungry kids that came together in 08.   Now its 2 aging vets and a bunch of journeymen. What can you do.

Dont want to say too much about any one player but Bro Bass has hardly taken advantage of his opportunities from the bench.  Not, I fear, a building block.
Sorry for the long post
The bold is the first time in a long time where I didn't feel the closeness or bond of this team.
-08 I could see the chemistry and closeness clear as day because they were all equally hungry and starving for a championship
-09 I could see it even with KG down
-10 even with some issues, I still felt they had chemistry
-11 before the trade and the injuries to Shaq and Rondo the chemistry was there and strong. They looked like a family that really spent time with each other outside of basketball.
-12 even last year I could see some chemistry and a bond
-This year I just didn't see any chemistry or a bond or anything. They don't even look like they talk or communicate with each other outside of playing basketball (other than KG and Paul).
It looks like a team of an aging Paul and KG with some players just picked up off the street to play with them.
