Ok, first things first.
1. Doc needs to bench Avery. I hate to say it about one of my favorite players, but he is absolutely KILLING us with bad passes and decision making on offense. When you have a team as limited offensively as we are you CANNOT afford to have unforced turnnovers like this.
2. Pierce needs to completely abandon his jumpshot, which looks flat. Every shot he takes should be attacking the basket or posting up. If we can't get baskets, we need to try to get easy shots from the free throw line and put them into foul trouble.
3. Doc needs to make Green the focus of our offense. He's our best scorer at this point in time, and he's being way too passive. Doc needs to run plays for him and drill into his head that he has to take 20 shot attempts.
4. Terry has done a good job of handling the point. When he is out, bring in Terrence Williams and give him a shot. T-Will has a big size advantage over Felton and has the quickness to stick with any of them, and he's a solid defender. Plus he's a steady ball handler and a good passer.
5. Give Shavlik Randolf some minutes. When KG sits Bass plays Center and we get killed. We need a big body who will muscle inside, hustle, fight for rebounds, get put backs, etc. Randolf will do that if he's given a chance...
Knicks are killing us by going small, so we need to couter by going big. KG, Randolf, Green, Pierce, Williams. Give it a shot and see what happens.
Also try an offensive lineup...something like:
Garnett
Green
Pierce
Crawford
Terry
That lineup can spread the floor.
Doc needs to experiment, these linups aren't working
