Hopefully, that'll leave y'all on a brighter note.
Wiggins is the best case scenario....

You tank next year... Win 15-20 games.

Low percentage chance of drafting him...  If you do, you're in the lotto again his rookie year

Probably miss the playoffs again the year after that

Then the playoffs

Then you're a contender if everything falls into place.

So 5 years from now ... durant will still be in his prime though.

But more likely we're looking at a rebuild that will take a decade or more

perfect play to end the 3rd -- typical of how they played the whole game

Doc sticking with the script. Sign of a good coach. Down double digits, about to be down 3 games, and you stick with what is broken.

What would you like him to do?

KG and Shav together. Play a match-up zone.

twin towers, high low post game.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

go down swinging? just maybe? coaching guys up? better style???? nah that is asking too much. nevermind.

SMALLBALL FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ::)

I understand people's complaints about Doc from time to time, but this Celtics team is so banged up and old, Auerbach could not coach them to a win.

Auerbach wouldn't have been outcoached by the likes of Mike Woodson either.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

how does a professional team, supposedly good enough to make the playoffs with a winning record, only score 52 points in 3 quarters?

Doc is dumb and pathetic. He is in "KC Jones" mode. PP and KG getting a lot of minutes is awful.

Finish the game using the young guys. Let them build confidence. There is no other way to turn it around now. Somehow, playing the young guys will be more beneficial.
