Do you think we may try to move up?

This possibility intrigues me. There seems to be a consensus regarding this draft: That it contains no franchise lifting players at the top yet is deep regarding good players who could be great help to a team. Since there are no "Game Changers" at the top, perhaps we could work a deal to get a hold of someone that intrigues us. Minnesota has two picks in the first round, one of which is slated to be the tenth pick. Perhaps we could trade with them to get that 10th pick? Thoughts? Or is trying to move up just a waste with this draft? I feel like we need a legit shooting guard who can score and I worry that all the good ones will be gone by the time we pick at 16.

I don't see anyone in the draft that I really want, or think can help the Celtics next year.

Package the pick plus one of our guards (possibly two of them) for a big that can play next to KG.

figuring KG and PP for one more run at it next year, I'd say this year's pick is a chip to be used either to get a player that can help next year when Rondo and Sully are back OR as a chip to get another pick in the 2014 or 2015 drafts when we'll be rebuilding.  I don't see a rookie being of much help next year unless it was Noel and he's not going to be there a #16.

Cauley-Stein is going back to school,

The only player who I might be tempted to trade up arount 10-12 for would be Muhammad. I could see him becoming a great 2/3 scorer in the future.

I actually think a decent player is going to fall to #16. Either a high risk high reward type like Giannis,Gobert,or Saric or a solid college / international player like Dieng, Plumlee, Karsev,or Crabbe who will compete for minutes next season but likely will never be more than rotational players.

Ugh.  I almost never want to trade down, and certainly not this year.  If the C's can't land a stud in this draft, this is a good year to have someone who will take a year or two to develop, while improving their draft position for next year as well.

But I think this is a rare draft where there are multiple high-potential legitimate bigs that will be available in the teens and the C's shouldn't miss out on that for anything.
