Almost like this team could use another All-Star caliber player, huh?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I guarantee you a 1,000 dollars Lebron James, or any other team except the Clippers would beg to have Rondo on their team right about now.

Clippers would beg too. That's so fascinating, actually:

PG: CP3
SG: Rondo

That tandem...I think they can coexist if CP3 orients to more scoring. Would be the best alley-ooping team of all time. Penetration would be amazing. The half court offense would never stagnate because they'd have the 2 best play makers in the game. There are lots of teams with a small guard line up (Celtics, for one), so I don't think that would be a horrible problem. Besides, Rondo's wingspan makes him a lot taller than he actually is.

Rondo could also come off the bench - create a momentous 2nd unit spark.
I like Marcus Smart

He makes life easier for KG and PP..they're working too hard to generate points and it's making them look OLD...2 games in row where they set a franchise low in points...ugh.

Well can't cry over what we don't have, but this should make people more appreciative of what they got...Boston media sucked when he first got injured, didn't even wait a day until they questioned if the team was better without him.

For anyone looking for evidence or proof as to how this team would be better with Rondo, I posted a topic on it backed up with stats.

Honestly, Euge, what does this even mean? Seriously. Explain it. In depth. The Celtics won a game. We are probably all happy about that around here.

Did you watch this game and come away with the conclusion that they would have lost this game had Rondo been playing? It is pretty conclusive the team is better with Rondo. I understand you don't think so, but you have also never, ever backed that up with any statistics or tangible proof. But, please, do inform how the Celtics would have lost this game with Rondo. And do add how he would not have helped in any other game in this series that the Celtics lost. As of now your whole posting history is snide comments about Rondo with zero facts to back up any of your assertions.

Why revive this thread to apparently gloat about Rondo being injured after a win that all around here wanted and enjoy? Is it enough that everyone on The Celtics says they wish they had Rondo around, that they like playing with him and think he makes them better. That everyone interviewed about what The C's should do said it was imperative to build around Rondo? But, please, do go on using a gutsy win to bash Rondo when no one besides yourself thinks they won because Rondo was out and not despite Rondo being out. You are a broken record and not a good record at that.

Give me a break..we had to put T Will in to the handle the point. This is probably the worst time to try and bash Rondo..give it a break.

Honestly think we would have won in 5 if we had Rondo for this series. Fully healthy, Miami is the only team in the East that can beat us in a 7 game series. So stop with the "we are better without Rondo" nonsense. If he were playing we would probably be resting waiting to see who wins the Hawks/Pacers series.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Maybe have less beers next game?

With Rondo this would not be a series and we'd be playing the next one.

With RR we were getting 14.5 PPG , 9.2 APG and 6 RPG, with Bradley we are getting 6.6 PPG, 1.8 APG and 2.1 RPG.  No question we are better with Rondo who is really close to almost a triple double average in the playoffs and this doesn't account how he helps other create shots and makes their lives easier.  We would not be close to setting all time lows in the second half in our scoring with RR.

That being said I am very glad and stoked we won!

I actually had a moment watching the game last night when they showed Rondo in his dapper suit and my brain tricked me into getting momentarily excited like; "HEY. Put that guy in the game."

It was right after Smith hit the 3 to cut it to 5.

Rondo could annoy me, but there's no doubting his competitiveness come playoffs time.
Yup

That we'd have been watching something else on television since the Celts would have already won the series?

Agreed,  with Rondo the series would have been over.  Its his game time to shine , when teams have set game plans and half court set plays  ......still I don't car what you say,  he was screwing up the team with his diva attitude during the regular season..that needs to change.

Also miss Sully standing his ground down low .
