Summary:
(Rondo talk around 5:05 mark)
-Rondo knew all the Knicks sets before they happened during walk through
-He studied the playoff book and he's not even playing..that tells you enough right there the type of player he is.

I appreciate this, but what's to say no other player on the team has the same knowledge? and at the very least shouldn't the coach know? I'm just wondering...seems like regular stuff to kinda know. I wouldn't assume a pro goes into a game unknowingly.

-The ones who are playing the game SHOULD know. They're all given the same material and they study it. The point wasn't about them, it was about the fact that Rondo knows it and he's not even suiting up AT ALL. That says a lot about a player and his motivation for the game.

ever since rondo got hurt, my stance was we would be ok without him in the regular season, but we would really miss him in the postseason.  today kind of validated that

There's nothing to do about it... we just have to weather the storm and he might return for the Finals  ::)

I don't think I agree 100% with your argument, but I do understand your point.

Man, Rondo is just brilliant.  Miss him so much

Doc says Rondo's the smartest player he's ever been around. I wouldn't count on the other players having Rondo's knowledge.

The teams offense is still below average with Rondo running the point. The offense has been bad for like the past 4 years. Rondo gets a lot of assists, but the offense still consistently stinks.

When Rondo is engaged, he makes his mark on the defensive end with steals, and in the rebounding game. Rondo typically has little effect on the offense because even when he plays this team struggles to score points.

The team's been a poor offensive rebounding team and doesn't always get to the line a lot. But they're generally among the league leaders in efg% and ts% (in spite of the inefficient shot selection) because Rondo gets them good shots. Rondo's effect on the offense is generally large.

This blog has had to given fans around the NBA a good laugh this season with all the "We're better without Rondo" talk this season.

Going into the playoffs without him is like going to a gun fight with a knife.

No need to get down about today's loss, any chance we may have had blew out along with his knee.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Just because the C's have one of the worst ball handlers and decision makers in the entire NBA running point, that doesn't mean they need Rondo out there to them. It just means they need a less incompetent person running the point. Courtney Lee, Williams, or Crawford are probably less incompetent running the point than Bradley.

Do you guys miss Rondo? Do you really? Already?

But I thought we were "better" without Rondo, as many of you claimed on these forums a couple of months ago.

Come on CB, stay salty...

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Well, Rondo is one of the best basketball decision makers in the world right now. Other than maybe Chris Paul, you can't get anymore competent than Rondo.

I'll live with Bradley's mistakes if it means we keep his defense and superb cutting/decent offense.
