KG is way more of a leader, the Captain Pierce leads by example...Green is more important...Crawford and Sullinger, too...Rondo would have a very difficult time cracking the starting lineup on half the teams in the NBA - and he would be terrible off the bench...

All I've got to say on the matter is that I really wish we had all three of Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, and Paul Pierce healthy and playing right now.

I find it a little silly and petty to debate which one is more important to the team than the others.  I think it's fair to say that those three guys are and have been very important to the success of the Celtics and leave it at that.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

TP. This is a team game, and every piece helps to improve the whole machine. If you miss too many vital pieces you're in trouble.

Of course, I love KG, but I wouldn't take anything away from another Celtic because you don't need to. KG is a unique player, teammate and human being. And the Celtics love him too.

KG has always been the MVP here.  Clearly the most important player... stats back up his ridiculous impact on the defensive side.  We're nothing without him.

Pierce is the 2nd best player.  Our offense relies on him.

Rondo is the 3rd best player.  Good at getting assists.  Talented, but you can withstand losing him more than the other two... especially if you have capable scoring/defending guards who can step in for him.  Is what it is.

That said, it's also late in the season and the Celtics have nothing to play for until the playoffs start.  We're possibly better off playing Miami in the 1st round.  So you really can't sweat the lack of effort and the losses right now.  It's irrelevant.

Though I rather the Celtics get to the 5th-7th place, so they can at least face Miami in the 2nd round

That should be you instead of Danny Ainge in that banner picture of yours

KG and Courtney Lee. I say Lee is the MVP.

Lol no it's actually the combination of having neither and the fact a solid role player Courtney went out in the same game as kg after already being down so many guys...this thread is really dumb.
Not that kg isn't the leader.this just isn't proof.

during the kg era, while he's been injured we've still won more then we lost...but he's the one changed the culture so yeah he's most important.

He was in 2 of those losses and the Bobcats loss. They are still a bad road team. The 7 game winning streak was a result of a home heavy schedule.

Very insightful thread.  I will now ignore Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry, Jeff Green, Courtney Lee, Danny Ainge, Wyc Grousbeck and Tommy Heinsohn because none of them have any idea what is going on with this team.  Who needs expertise when you have speculation from amateurs.
